Customer Review: Does what it's supposed to do

It's a little tight, but it works with a TomTom 540 and its stock suction mount. You just have to plug in the power cable before mounting the unit, and there won't be much wiggle-room to adjust the tilt angle. I ended up buying an aftermarket suction mount with a little extra height so I could have better adjustments. Although over all I am pleased with this item. But I have found that it will move or slide if making a sudden stop or turning a sharp corner. It will depend on the design of your dash that you are using it on. In my Chev Avalanche truck, there really is no flat area to put it on. That means that it will be subject to movement easier. This is a great idea. It is smaller than I thought it would be, but it works great. You can place the GPS on your dash where you can see it best. When you stop it is easy to tuck the unit under the seat or in the glove box so that it is out of sight from thieves. It does not slide around and the price is great. Very nice and functional. Does not slip around on my dash unless I hit a really sharp corner. The GPS will occasionally pop off over time and i have to restick it to it but no big deal. The pad is not quite perfect to suction to. i may stick a better disc to the top to get permanent suction. This GPS mount is well made, looked like it would work, but just
didn't do the job. It's larger than we expected, it's fairly
light, and it slides all over the dash. We tossed it aside and
purchased a mount that's heavy, has non-slip backing, and is a simple
circle. We understand why this particular mount was reduced in price.
