I bought one for myself. Soon after I received it I purchased three more of these - one for my wife, one for my son and one for my son-in-law. We all travel for work / pleasure and these dash mounts are portable. We can take them with us and they fit virtually any vehicle we may rent. When we park, we just move it to the floor and out of sight - no little disk showing the world we have a GPS somewhere in the car. And the price is right.
Only had it slide once. It was on an unlevel part of my dash and I made a hard turn. It just slid a few inches but I moved it to a level area and it stuck.

Mount overall is what I had in mind when I purchased it. My dash is very curvy and I felt this item would conform well to curves. It does. It was reasonably inexpensive. My only real complaint is the disk in the center of the mount is too low. My GPS could not face me directly because the bags forced the GPS to turn more towards the roof of the car. I made a disk about 1\2" in thickness and using double back tape fastened it to the mount I purchased. Problem solved and now I am pleased. I shouldn't have to make alterations if the item were better engineered. That is why 3 stars instead of 5.Customer Review: The perfect mount for my Garmin GPS!

I've been using this dash mount for my 5" Garmin for about a month now. It's been perfect. I can place it anywhere on the dash, even the edge of the dash, and it stays put! I've even tried to make it slide with some sharp turns and hard breaking...but nope, never budged once. It's easy to stash out of sight when I need to park and leave it in the car for errands. When I first received it in the mail, I was very pleased with its looks (quality of workmanship and size). It's much smaller and compact compared to other dash mounts I saw at all the big box stores. This dashboard mount would probably be o.k. for a smaller GPS but I found it was not stable for my TomTom Go 930. The charger cable for the TomTom plugs in on the bottom of the unit, so the suction mount supplied with the GPS is too short to work, so I had to get a different suction mount which, while raising the TomTom higher, it also makes it less stable. All of this coupled with the weight of the TomTom causes the mount to tend to want to tip over on my dash (Honda CRV)--especially during a turn, etc. In fact it has fallen twice so I have found this mount unsatisfactory for me....Customer Review: Great dash pad - couldn't be better

I am so glad I bought this dash pad for my GPS. It holds my GPS in almost any position and has never moved on the dash, nor has my GPS fallen off or come loose from it. It is easy to move about - I lift it off the dash and put under the seat when I leave my car with the GPS still on it - no problem. Also, my dash is covered with velour and this dash pad still does not move - I love it - no rings on my windshield from the GPS and no GPS falling off the windshield and onto the floorboard - cheaper than the other brand - couldn't be better - buy it - you won't be sorry.
