I just ordered this case for my macbook, and I'm less than pleased. The most unsettling matter is that there is no picture of the bottom case on amazon, and it is not what I expected at all. I wanted this case for scratch protection!!! The bottom case has 3 holes in the center then it has strip-shaped holes on the top and bottom. I assume these hole are for ventilation, but they are completely unnecessary. Most hardshell cases do not have holes on the bottom case!!! The cases that Apple sells do not have holes!!! The macbook gets plenty of ventilation through the fans on its back.
My other problem with the case was the color, though this was not that much of an issue to me.... it is actually a darker pink, not quite a hot-pink, but not as light and pretty as the image on amazon makes it seem. the picture on here makes me think pretty in pink.... the pink it actually is makes me think lollipop :) or hair product :) and i'm normally not the biggest fan of pink... just pretty in pink.... my fav color is yellow... but there aren't any yellow cases for my model macbook!!! :(
I'm searching with all efforts to find another, better case for my macbook... i've even called Apple! but they've discontinued all cases for this model... they're meanies. they only love their new unibody customers... okay enough ranting...
sum up: if you want a case merely for giving your macbook a new, bright color then this is great!!! but if you're looking for protection... this case is not satisfactory
