Customer Review: exceeded my expectations

Wow! This alarm clock exceeded my expectations. It's easy to program and use and has AMAZING sound for its size, plus it looks great. The snooze/dimmer button is large and right up front- easy to hit in the middle of the night or in the morning when you want that 5 extra minutes. I like that you can change the brightness of the display and have the option of completely turning off the light all together. When the alarm goes off in the morning, the display lights up- a little extra help to get you out of bed. A few people have said the remote doesn't work from more than 5 feet away- I've found that I can use mine from across the room, so I have no complaints there either.
All in all, this is a great alarm clock at a GREAT price- I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an ipod compatible alarm clock! 2 thumbs up!
Customer Review: Poor quality!

I liked it at first despite the fact that the time shone, at its lowest setting so brightly, it lit up the room. I put a clear red film over it to darken it. After a few months, one of the lights went out so that I now have a choice between very dim (with no red film) ~ my fave, STROBE!, or bright-ish. All this is annoying but I can adapt. The dock fitting for my nano didn't fit so I just had to plug it in free standing. Add too that, I just got a Nano, gen 4 and this iLuv doesn't charge it! It charged my old nano but not this one.
Now the "can't live without" feature doesn't work! I used to set the time for 15 minutes of play to put me to sleep and then it shuts off. Now that I can't do that, it has become worthless.
I abhor waste and it kills me to have to chuck this after 1 1/2 years. No more iLuvs for me.

This machine makes an excellent clock radio for your bedroom. The dual alarms are nice and the display is a good size. I like the remote too.
The sound is excellent. I get great FM reception and music from the iPod is superb (if you don't need a lot of bass).
Now for the issues. The lowest brightness setting is too bright at night, so I simply turn off the display (easily done by tapping the snooze bar). The volume and setting wheels on top are very cheesy, I have to turn and turn and turn them to get them to change the setting, fortunately once you've set your alarm times, you don't need them anymore as all other functions that use these wheels can be performed on the remote. Finally the shuffle connection works to charge the shuffle, but cannot play music from the shuffle no matter what I tried.

This is a pretty good deal for the price. It's nice, sleek, works just as advertised,etc. Good radio, ipod dock works well, the alarm is nice and loud.
The only two gripes I have and they're minor ones concern the range of the remote and antenna.
The remote isn't really all that handy, in my opinion. It works, but you have to be so close to the thing, that it's just as easy to reach a bit further and use the buttons on the radio itself.
The FM antenna is finicky. The antenna is a wire that doesn't really work all that well. Radio stations that I had no problem picking up on my old clock radio (without an external antenna, mind you) are difficult to pick up on this thing.
Other than that, however, nice little alarm clock/radio/iPod dock for the price.
Customer Review: Finally, one for the 4G Nano.

I spent a considerable amount of time looking for an alarm clock radio that is compatible with the new Nano Ipod 4th generation. After going to all the large retailers in the area and not getting a straight answer I checked the net. Finding the right one on here was tough too. Came across the Iluv and was skeptical at first because it was only $50. I thought how could this be more up to date than most of the products out there and be so inexpensive? Sure enough it was, does everything I want it to do. Great alarm, buzzes loud or you can wake to the radio or Ipod. Sounds great for the small size. Sleek design, multiple brightness levels, sleep function, and my favorite detail is that the remote has a snooze button on it. Only gripe is that there are no presets for the radio stations. Great buy.
