I know you can't expect a ton from little speakers but I was disappointed nonetheless to find that if you turn your iPod volume all the way you get static. I bought this only so my showers could occasionally have some background music. With as little as I used it, I was shocked when it broke two months later. The speakers randomly blew out when the volume was well below the max. I couldn't even listen to soft acoustic music on low without hearing ear-splitting static after that. It's especially pathetic because I didn't even get a total of 3 hours of playtime out of these speakers! Buy this if you're just looking for something to store your batteries in for the winter--other than that FORGET IT!Customer Review: Very good quality for the price

I received this item as a gift to go along with my iPhone & iPod. It works well with the bulky case I have on the phone, and the sound, volume, and quality is very good for the cost and size of the module. However, it does take batteries, which is useful for portability, but sucks for life cycle cost and the drain it puts on my devices. It would be greatly improved by an optional AC adapter as well as a charging/docking station to charge my devices as well. However, then the cost would rise, and I don't really use this iHome enough to need something like that.
Great product, and highly recommended for anyone looking for a cheap alternative to an iHome/portable speakers.

This would be a great little device if only the speakers would last. I got it to play while in the shower since there aren't enough electrical outlets in the bathroom. I also used it in my car. It is impressive how long the batteries last. None of these things matter though, when the speakers start the static. It worked fine for about two months before the speakers went. I exchanged it for another one and the new one was doing the same thing the very first time I listened to it. I don't even turn the volume up very much. If only they could build the speakers better, this would be a great little player. I have a number of cheap battery powered speakers and most of the suck. I have a couple of high quality iHome speakers at home and the quality is very good. So I decided to give these speakes a chance. I needed small battery powered speakers for the office. (The hospital has very strict policy with regards to electornics that are plug in. But battery powered is ok.)
WOW these speakers are great. small, light weight and very good sound (for the price).
As long as the batteries last for the whole 12 shift, I will be happy.
These speakers worth every bit of the price. Once again iHome made perfect small, budget speakers.

I have choosen this product because 't was compatible with all mp3 players and I hoped the stand it has will allow my Creative Zen to sit on. And it luckily does. Although my Zen has a hard case on it, it can lay horizontal on the ihome system and seems like it was designed for Creative :)
The only disappointment I had was I was not able to use radio with this system. When the earphones are on, there is no problem, radio signals are received quite well but when I transferred to iHome, there is no radio signal. I am not sure if this is because of my player or there may be solution for it but this is the only disappointment I had with this product.
