I recieved this because I actaully ordered a different type/style and the company ran out of stock so they gave me this "upgraded" one instead. I really like it. I wanted a system that had 2 alarm clocks (one for me, one for the wife) but with the ability to play and charge my ipod touch. I like to listen to music on low while I fall asleep so I turn on the "Sleep" button for 60 minutes, hit my ipod to shuffle and drift asleep with good music without radio adds and DJ talk. I'm very happy with this unit. One side note: the display can be very bright, but hitting the snooze dims it to satisfactory levels...even completly off. the iHome that I purchased as a Christmas gift did not work when opened. Not all of the numbers were displaying so you couldn't tell the time. I contacted VCT Technologies to explain how the iHome is not working and I would like to exchange it. Thru days of trying to contact them, they said that it was purchased more than 30 days ago and that they couldn't help me. I could however return it for additional fee; which I had already spent $90.00 for something that doesn't work!
I will never ever purchase anything from this vendor and recommend that you do not either. Their customer service is deplorable and their products do not work.

There is nothing better than an alarm clock that goes from off to blaring in a slooooow fashion. It almost feels like you're waking up naturally BEFORE the alarm goes off. Of course, that's not true, but comparing that to be jolted out of a deep sleep by the kind of volume one needs to wake up... I'm a changed man. Also, the clock allows you to wake up to a custom iPod list. And, it has weekday alarms that never need be changed. And it has two alarms. It's fantastic. The only downside? The sound isn't amazing. It won't be replacing any other speakers anytime soon, but it gets the job -- waking me up without inducing violence -- done.Customer Review: Don't go for just looks or you ll be sorry

I bought this based on the looks and the sound. There were so many problems with this I gave it away to the first taker. The clock and alarm kept resetting and no it wasn't from the power source (I have a logitech one now and love it, no problems with the clock and it has superior sound.) The looks are the only thing it has going for it. Sometimes when you turned it on you could get great sound, other times it was muffled or didn't sound like it was in stereo. I am good with electronics and even read the instructions to try to fix these problems... like I said I do not recommend this unless you just want looks or a charger.Customer Review: ipod alarm clock

I tried 2 different ipod alarm clocks that were cheaper before I bought this one on amazon. It's worth the extra money. The dimmer is a plus; it has 7 different dim settings including off. The AM receiver looks a little awkward, but if you don't listen to AM radio you don't have to hook it up. The speakers sound great and when the alarm goes off it doesn't go from super quiet to insanely loud in 15 seconds like the other ones I had. It gradually gets louder, but never so loud that it's unbearable. You can set it for a five day alarm, which is nice for work vs. weekends. This was a wise purchase and worth the money.
