Customer Review: Fine product, great customer support

I bought my iH8 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond at a heavily discounted price because it was missing the AM antenna. I called iHome Customer Service, told them the story, and within hours they shipped an antenna to my house free of charge. I wish other companies had this high degree of efficiency in dealing with customers. The serice man in charge was Pat Czudyk.
The product itself works fine. Naturally, the speakers are not designed
to compete with Bose. Using the line in function, you can play your CD players or other stereo equipment with the unit. Just remove the iPod when you operate the line in function.
I was so impressed by iHome's customer service that I have decided an iH9 for my wife. This product is a lot more than a glorified alarm clock. I am very pleased with it.

The speakers are weak. I even bought the additional speaker. When you plug it in it disables the right speaker on the radio so it's not really worth it. I have the bass all the way up and can barely notice a difference from when it is off. The back light has become annoying. I need to turn it off at night because it lights the room, during the day I need to turn it back on to see the time. The buttons on the radio are not that sensitive. Sometimes I press them and they don't work. The setup and controls are easy to use. I have a 4G Ipod, easy to dock and use with Ipod. The manufacturer should consider offering a model with more powerful speakers, I would be willing to pay more for that. They should also ditch the current clock face with the back light and use something else.Customer Review: Good buy but not completely

I really like all the features. The dual alarms and daylight savings time switch is very valuable. The FM antenna is a little weak for my area but I can get most of the larger broadcasts.
The back-light on the clock face is pretty bright and haven't figured out how to dim it at all. It is bearable but I wish it were more dim.
I was extremely disappointed when I went to hook up my ipod mini and found that it didn't fit any of the included adapters (despite the description saying that it will fit ALL dockable ipods. The instructions tell me that I have to get back on the website and buy a special adapter.
This is a good buy but don't expect to be able to hook up right out of the box. Make sure that you go ahead and buy the appropriate adapter for your ipod.

I just received this yesterday for my birthday. It has a great sound and I love how it charges my ipod. The radio comes in perfectly, and there are many of light settings. In daytime I like to keep my light very bright so there are no glares to see, but at nighttime I like to turn it down lower so the light isn't right in my eyes when I'm trying to sleep. The remote control can be a little annoying at times, because you have to point directly to your system and you can't go to the menu options and everything from it. I'm not complaining though, because ihome probably has the best systems out there.If you buy this system, you will not be dissapiointed.It also has a great size...it isn't small, but it's not big either. I have had two iHomes and both have the same problems. First, it is nearly impossible to get any kind of reception that is not also filled with static. Second, over a period of time less than a year, the iHome begins channeling the radio each time you play the iPod. Although it is only faint at first, the static grows to the point where you can no longer listen to your music. Finally, though every problem seems to be related to the dock connector, even after taking apart the device and tightening loosened screws and cleaning out the interior, the problems remain. Lesson: if you want a product that is only guaranteed for 90 days, then this is the product for you.
I do not recommend this product and products made my iHome.
