Customer Review: Great Privacy Filter for the Cost

Due to the nature of my work, I had decided that it would be prudent to purchase a Privacy Filter. Our office does supply filters that we can use, however, most of my co-workers have voiced some level of disatisfaction with their office-issued filter (which seems to do little more than blur their own line of vision).
Initially, I was shocked to see the prices of 'Privacy Filters' and as such, was a little uncertain about purchasing this one (I wasn't sure if cost equated to effectiveness...) Long story short, I've been using this filter for some time now and I am extremely satisfied! I've even had several people walk by my desk, back up to do a double take and comment on how much they like my filter! I'm only more than happy to share this link with them (I did buy directly from this seller and it was a very pleasant transaction - no problems at all). This is a Great Buy!

I haven't tried the 3M filter myself but have seen a colleague use it. And this one is as good as the 3M one, at a much lower price (I got mine from Amazon for $27 incl. shipping). This definitely has the best price/value ratio.
The good: Lowest price, does almost as good a job as the 3M one if not better. Has a good glossy look to it, which makes my screen look sharper.
The bad: When I set my screen to max. brightness, things become a little more visible from the viewing angles that it should not be visible from. But they still don't become legible. You can only see outlines of images,text,etc (don't know if this happens will all such brands of filters). Catches fingerprints easily (which I suspect the rest of the screens do too).
Overall, I highly recommend it.

These are indistinguishable in performance from the leading brand at a fraction of the price. Very happy with the purchase, having used it for nearly a year now. Probably 0.5mm too wide for my Latitude D600, but I force-slipped it under the panel surrounding my laptop screen rather than cut it to size.
Not too much help for people sitting right next to you or standing behind you, but works great for conference rooms. Works for in-flight privacy if brightness is turned way down (which is usually the case for me anyway in order to conserve battery life) or if you're in business class and therefore not shoulder-to-shoulder with anyone (people behind you on the immediate left/right can still see your screen if you have brightness turned up).
Customer Review: Diagonals all over the screen.

Just received this screen and when I look at, there are a series of diagonal lines going across the entire screen. I have a Lenovo T61 and while it covers the screen nicely, I'm getting headache looking thru it. The tabs used to hold the screen in place are very cheap and fall off. Indeed, the instructions suggest buying 3M tabs to hold the screen. Bottom line, this is going to be returned and I will have to pay the extra for the 3M.Customer Review: Not perfect

The fasteners really don't do a good job of holding down the screen. The screen itself is slightly, just barely but slightly too big for my IBM T61 laptop, meaning that instead of sitting inside the screen frame and looking flush, it's got to be outside of it and therefore doesn't quite look good or stay on well either. It falls off. Just a bit better sizing would've made it perfect, but I've stopped using mine.
