Purchased this charger as a replacement for an IPod shuffle. It did fit the Shuffle, and of course the USB to the computer but it did not work at all. I was not able to charge or transer data to the Ipod. Couldn't find another adaptor anywhere but through Apple and for the price of the adapter alone I just purchased a new Shuffle. Good for the price of 5 $ including shipping. Delivery exceptionally fast. Arrived in 3 days. Only problem is that it fits a bit loose into the USB port of my new laptop. Had to press 2-3 times to make sure contact is right.
Worked fine with iTunes software for Windows Vista machine. Charging and data transfer pretty fast.

my original charger broke so I looked for a cheaper alternative then $15 and I found this, so I ordered It and best product for ipod(im charging my ipod right now) i can even charge on usb on back of tv, everywhere there is a usb port i can charge it there .There really shouldn't be any controversy, best alternative..Customer Review: Bad Cable-

Although the price of the cable was excellent $1.58. The old saying you get what you pay for came through on this one. The USB end was slightly crooked and could not fit into any USB port.At $1.58 it would cost me more to return it than just throw it out. This item seemed like a bargain but it was a big mistake!
Using it totally turned our new iPod Shuffle to waste.
Sorry we ever considered it! How they could make something so simple to be so bad that is destroys your electronics is hard to understand... but unfortunately true.
