1st day review.
So I received this adapter in the mail today and decided to try it out. I got it for $0.01 + S&H which was.... $2.98 hah... Like many others stated, it DOES come in the plainest packaging you'll ever lay your eyes on. When I popped it in I noticed A LOT of clicking and hissing. Disappointed was a bit of a understatement as to how i felt. So I remembered to come back to amazon reviews and check out other peoples "fixes" to their problems. Luckily most of them didn't apply to me like the one where the cassette wouldnt play unless the lid closed. I read the part where you would UP THE VOLUME of the car stereo and LOWER the volume of the Mp3 player to around 25%. It did NOT work. Heck it made it worse. I tried what another poster mentioned about ignoring the this side up notice and putting it upside down. THAT removed the clicking noise, but I was still left with a loud HISS noise. I kept wracking my brain and figured I should try removing the plastic covering. That also didn't make a difference. So after following everyones advice, I gave up and tried the OPPOSITE by LOWERING the volume of my car stereo to 50% and RAISING the volume of my mp3 player 80% . The result? clicking/hissing is GONE and replaced with clear crisp music. Hopefully what I've written here will be of help to some of you out there, since it really sounds like the opposite of what many others are doing to get great sound out of theirs. One thing to note with this cassette adapter compared to others is that there is a filter like inflated bass added.
