I live about 25 miles from New York City and could only get about 2 or 3 English stations and using the external antenae. If you moved the antennae just a little bit, you would lose the picture. Using only the antenae that was attached to the TV, the receptioin was even worse. The quality of the picture, hwoever, was very good. I would only recommend this TV to someone who knows that they are close to the transmitting station or who plans to use cable. I have returned this product to Amazon.
I have also tried at 7"TV made by Digital Labs which gets more stations with only the built in antenae. The best reception was on a 3 1/2" TV sold at Radio Shack.

I purchased this TV for my hunting cabin, which is up on a hill in the middle of nowhere in WV. I can confidently say I've enjoyed this TV. The picture comes in great on all the channels I can get (though some slight tweaking is needed when it gets windy). Brightness and contrast are easily adjustable and that is helpful when you're sometimes watching in pure darkness or the middle of the day. I would say that my only complaint is that they didn't put the volume buttons on the remote. Otherwise, for your money, this is a good, solid TV.Customer Review: Axion AXN 8701 7 inch TV

I like everything about the Axion 7-inch Widescreen Handheld LCD TV except the fact that it was not originally "user friendly" and I am unable to get reception in the location I had an earlier TV. It works great otherwise!
I also ordered a case for it, and the company sent two. I have never received a refund despite sending all the information required. I sent the item back to the company. I ordered the item through Amazon.com.

I like the TV itself but neither the on-board antenee or the extra antenee do much to improve channels you can get. I am now looking at purchasing a seperate powered antenee to get normal channels and not just UHF.
The set is fine... just do not expect to pick up ABC, NBC, CBS very easily!
