Customer Review: Nothing great about the bundle

Dock: I bought the AV pack mainly for the Dock and wall charger. The dock's A/V output does not work without power.
Wall charger: Does what it is supposed to do. supports 100-240v. So the same wall charger will work in US as well as Europe. I feel it is a bit bulky.
AV Cable: This is the best part of the pack. I connected my Zune dock to my AV receiver and it sounds great. Havent tried the video part of it.
Remote: The Volume controls works only with the center controls and not with the volume control buttons at the bottom. Is this just my remote or all the ones? So there is atleast 1 defective item in this pack.
Sync cable: Just a back up. I don't really need this.

I bought this with my new Zune 120 gig player. It doesn't fit and it doesn't work. First, the adapter plug in the stand is set to the back of the slot and the new generation Zune player's receiver end is at the front of the player, so it only fits and charges if you put it in backwards. This kind of defeats the purpose of the remote access, etc.. since you can't see what's playing. Second, my remote never worked at all.
I'm very disappointed in this product (though my Zune is great so far), and I wish that Amazon had some kind of comment in the Home A/V Pack page indicating that it doesn't fit new generation players - and that they didn't have the misleading "buy together and save" stuff.

The other reviews have it pretty much right. The product is what it is. It is a nice way to hook your zune up to your speaker system rather than buy a very expensive boombox. Very easy to set up and gives you the added bonus of a wall charging feature. Good sound and not so good picture, which is to be expected from a 3 inch screen translating itself onto a much bigger one. The remote is small and functional, with a good setup, and I love that it is a magnet. The base is sturdy and the whole package in general is pretty slick looking. Overall, very functional, and a good companion to your zune if you plan on doing a lot of listening at home.Customer Review: A/V is better than I imagained.

I'm really happy with the A/V pack, it works exactly as advertised. My only gripe, and the reason why I only give it four stars, is that the sync cable it comes with is no longer than your standard sync cable, meaning that you have to set you dock fairly close to your power supply.
But something that should be mentioned is that all of the official Zune accessories that I've used so far have been of very high fit and finish, and the dock is no exception with far more heft than it at first appears to have. And the tiny details that are built into the accessories are just fantastic like, in this case, the magnetic remote...brilliant.

I bought this product for my 2nd gen 80GB zune. As others have written, it definitely is snug when in the dock. That said, it certainly still fits even without taking the cover off of the dock (which, should you still want to, is EXTREMELY easy). And personally, I don't see why one would be bothered by it being firmly in place...
For the ~$20 I spent for it, it is definitely worth the money and I'm VERY glad I didn't shell out the extra money for the newer home av pack. For me, the fact that I can now control my zune with the remote and that I can leave it charging in the dock continually makes this a must have.
