Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Zune 8 GB Digital Media Player (Red)

Customer Review: perfect!!!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

1st I must say the red is awesome looking. I own the 30gb, 8gb and the 80gb
and this is my favorite out of all of them, and this is why, the screen is very sharp and the sound quality is amazing, I dont go anywere with out this thing, it's much cooler then the nano I really don't like ipods.... at all
With ipods you can impress a few kids at school, but that's about it. With this and all Zunes you can customize the background, makeing it your own style. The red looks nothing like the red on the box, it has a much more glossy color. The interface is outstanding and the zune marketplace is very simple and actully has a subscription to it's music which ipod does not. You will want to buy a new pair of earphones because the pair it comes with suck, I suggest you go to your local fye and pick up a ten buck pair of skullcandy earphones. Oh yeah, the screen does not scratch easily because it's made of glass. The 30 gb Zune's screen was made of plastic and it scratched super easily. thanks for reading :)

Customer Review: Great MP3 player with a few glitches
Summary: 4 Stars

I love the Zune. I love how it looks - it is very sleek and modern looking. The trackpad is also very easy to use, although it may be confusing at first for iPod users. Basically it works like a trackpad on a laptop, which is actually more instinctive than an iPod's controls, in my opinion. I also really liked the interface. Overall, I felt like the Zune fit my personality and style very well.

However, I do not own a Zune now because it suddenly bricked on me. One day, it just wouldn't turn on. I don't know what the problem was and I never found out because it was past my warranty. I don't know if this problem is common or if it only happened to me. I loved it while it lasted though.

Customer Review: Zune, Zune, Zune..... Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

It is love! I bought an iPod shuffle. I was rather disappointed at how limited its features are and how confusing iTunes is to use.

So, I also ordered an 8 gig Zune in RED.... how totally gorgeous it is!!!!!

It looks fabulous and it plays so beautifully. It has much better sound than the iPod, and so many more features. The display is wonderful and it is able to do what I wanted it to do. Which is to play my CDs from beginning to end, uninterrupted and not all shuffled. Plus there is the wonderful album cover display as a reference for each CD.

It just came today, so I am just learning how to use it. Not a bit difficult at all...although I do want to delete an album and have not yet figured out how to do it. I want to get rid of as much unnecessary stuff as possible, since I am recording my music at the highest quality available, which takes up a lot more space.

It is my Christmas gift to myself and I could not be happier!

Customer Review: Low price, High quality.

This thing is fantastic! I love it. I've had my Zune since 2007 and its going strong. It's very easy to use, and in the long run cheaper than an Ipod of this class. Compare 79 cents a song to 99 cents a song, It adds up. The menu is very self explanitory, and the buttons are easy to use. The Zune marketplace isnt the best music store out there, but its probably the cheapest legal one. If your looking for a less popular song you might really have to search for it though. The battery life on this thing is very good, I charge it roughly once every week or two and use it about 4-5 days a week. This thing is very though too. I left it in my back pack for roughly 4 months, I go to a private school and have to carry my books with me everywhere. So I was constantly dropping huge books on it, pushing it onto the ground, and occasionally dropping it in puddles and snow banks. Basically it took alot of abuse and everything works! I would highly reccomend this to anybody looking for a mp3 player.

Customer Review: It died in one month, and service sucks....
Summary: 1 Stars

For a while, I owned a cheap Sandisk Clip player, which was terrific, until it burned out. Because I use my MP3 player so much, I decided to splurge for the Zune, despite my qualms about Microsoft products.

The $100 Zune died in just a few weeks -- much faster than the cheap Sandisk. Microsoft does not make it easy to send the Zune in for repair; you have to go through a lengthy on-line process. Now, two weeks after I sent the device in for its under-warranty repair, it is still in the "sorting room" (according to the telephone help person) and has not even begun its journey to the fix-it shop. I'm told that the Zune might be sent back to me in another two weeks -- making their total turnaround time for repair a month.

In the meantime, I bought another Sandisk Clip for $25. It's such a great little machine -- with several features that are lacking in the Zune (ie, voice recording). Now I wish I'd never wasted my money on the Zune!
