Customer Review: It doesn't work for my printer

I want to use this male to male USB cable to connect a hub to my laptop. The hub has 4 ports and serves as a connection from a printer to a desktop. When I connect this cable to the hub and my laptop, I was not able to print. But when I connected directly the printer to my laptop it works. I don't know whether it's a quality issue or it is not supposed to work that way, therefore I give 3 stars. I haven't use for other purpose but did not try to return this product since it's only ~ $5.
Will appreciate if someone could comment/advice.
