I'm giving this inverter 5 stars only because the scale doesn't go up to 10.
I just spent a couple weeks in the boonies of Iceland where the only power source for my Vixia camcorder was the car cigarette lighter. The camera only has a puny 90 minute battery, so it needed at least daily recharging. This device never failed through 1600 stills, 450 videos, cold, and rough treatment.
I don't understand the comments about the noisy fan. Roll down the window of the car or turn the heat on high and it'll make more noise than the fan does.
I was wary of this thing because I'd never heard of the company and the last time I bought from an unknown company - Sandisk - the product was rubbish. But this is a gem.
The roads are so bad in the west fjords that the washboard thrashing would occasionally pop the device out of the lighter socket while charging. These are roads bad enough to shake the fillings out of your teeth. But when this happened I just pushed it back in and it worked fine. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
I had no choice but to depend on this device and it never failed. All products should work this well!
