Had to buy a new video card for my Dimension 8300 because the old one would not display graphics any longer.Didn't want to break the bank on an old computer so i picked this card up at amazon for $41.The reviews i read were accurate as this is a pretty good card for the money.It displays the higher screen resolutions of todays flat panel monitors and the few games that we play run much smoother now.I'm so thrilled with the performance boost i went out and bought 2gb of memory to really supercharge my aging Dell.Customer Review: Perfect out of the box

I bought this video card to replace a failed unit. This new card proved perfect from the moment I turned on my computer. Great video, no installation hangups, just truly plug-in and go! I'm not a video gamer, but when my son tried out the new unit, he was really impressed. Price was great, and the service I received from the supplier, ANTon, was outstanding. Quick response, immediate and timely shipping info, and delivery on target. Now what dose the title of this review have to do with the review, or rather the product? Well... lets just say at least you did not have to complain to your parents about why it did not fit. Now I'm not trying to be gross or anything, but this is a warning to everyone: don't be like me, be sure to look at the specs of your computer before you buy. It requires an AGP slot, I only had a PCI slot. As far as I know, this card can take a lot of stress, but is rather light on the internal RAM. I bought this card after my video card died. Had to reinstall all software sicne this was only discovered after pulling down the system completely. :(. Anyway, it was an AGP card so I bought this baby. Installed, and it worked beautifully. Easiest software installation for along time.
No conflicts and it is significantly quicker than my older card and gives great screen resolution.
An economical way to upgrade your system. A bargain buy.

I needed an inexpensive video card with DVI output to drive a new Samsung 216MW monitor. This one fit the bill. It installed without a glitch in my pieced-together system running Windows XP (Soyo SY-KT400 mobo, AMD Athlon CPU). Another bonus: it doesn't have a cooling fan to make noise, get squeaky, and eventually die. The graphics abilities seem fine, but the only stress it gets is by my daughter playing WOW.
