Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of XFX PVT44AWANG GeForce 6200 256MB GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card (VGA/DVI/S-Video)

Customer Review: Good video card.
Summary: 5 Stars

Had no probs with Amazon or the video card. Easy install. No fan on the card, so, obviously, it's quiet. Using computer for movies, internet, and general use. For our purposes, it works great. The original card was bad and caused the screen to go black intermittently. With this new card, the problem is completely gone. Had to disable the hardware accelerator in PowerDVD to get movies to run properly without crashing. For a general use computer this video card is fine. But, not sure how it would hold up under a serious gaming scenario. Computer is a 2002 Dell Dimension 4500, Pentium 4, 2 GHz, 1GB RAM, 22in LCD.

Customer Review: XFE 6200 for Dell GX260
Summary: 5 Stars

I spent far too much time looking high and low for a video card that finally gave me what I needed for light gaming, video, etc...

This card is nice and a little beefy for the size. It works good with my Dell GX260 with Linux SUSE OS. One warning though: If you don't have an updated kernal, it will give you some problems. I had to update and recompile the kernal and then make sure that it pointed to the correct keyboard and not a vnc keyboard so that I could type in the GUI.

Other than that, I really like the card and I am soooo glad that they support Linux platforms.

Customer Review: No Power Issues
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had the GEForce 6200 installed in my PC for approx 7 weeks and have had no issues with it. I have a Compaq EVO 2.4ghz machine with only a 240watt power supply. The specs say you need a 300w power supply but that does not seem to be the case. I'm using two Dell 19" flat screens with it and have been very pleased with the image quality and sharpness. I'm sure from what I read there are better cards available but for an older system such as mine I would reccommend this card to anyone. At least anyone that just needs a dual card for business purposes. I am not using it for gaming at all.

Customer Review: The digital output is great!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a Dell 4600 with the built in video on the motherboard. Use it to build websites for businesses and municipals so high resolution is very necessary. Bought the XFX GeForce 6200 and as recommended, increased the power supply on the computer to 450w. Hooked the 6200 up with the digital cable provided and WOW! Never saw a display look so good. Fast, crystal clear graphics and text..Whats up with that? Very impressive.

If you don't have a digital hookup for your monitor, the newer flatsceens have the digital plug in capability where the older LCD's don't. A very nice addition.

Customer Review: Good as any and better than some
Summary: 5 Stars

I was looking for an upgrade for our socket 462 system that would provide 3D for Google Earth in a Linux environment. This card delivers. It also provides a magnificent desktop in an UBUNTU system of lovely themes and GUI features while being a card that will perform very well in a newer motherboard. We are not gamers, but enjoy a high end desktop experience.

It's the perfect upgrade for this situation. It is quiet and performing flawlessly. I chose it for Nvidia's excellent driver support in Linux. This was an inexpensive upgrade that really paid off.
