Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Wolverine Data 7080 FlashPac 80 GB Portable Digital Pictures and Data StorageCustomer Review: Nice Package Summary: 5 Stars
Love the flash pac. It is compact, fast and easy to use. One small glich occured because of my misuse. If you use ms pro duo cards, do not forget to put them into the adapter before putting them into the card reader slot. It ate my card without the adapter and I am out for repair. Wolverine was reasonable about fixing it and I will never be so stupid again.
This 80 gb hard drive holds more RAW + JPEG pictures than I can shoot in 6 months. Well worth the investment.
Customer Review: Works as advertised...and great price, too Summary: 5 Stars
This little device (very light and small, so fits quite easily in any camera bag) is very helpful. For the price of a couple of 8GB compact flash cards, you can hold the equivalent of 10 8GB cards.
I haven't used in the "field" yet, but in the tests I've conducted with it (on a Mac and a PC), the FlashPac uploads and downloads quickly and efficiently.
I recommend this product to anyone who needs extra storage on the go.
Customer Review: So far, so good Summary: 5 Stars
Am I too trustful? So far, this thing has been an absolute godsend for my wedding biz, since I've come away with gigs and gigs of pics and don't want to carry more than 4 cards at a time. It's downloaded everything without fail so far. I do plan on purchasing insurance for my biz, just in case I trust this thing more than my own flesh and blood.
Saving grace of the Flashpac: So easy to use, even a cave man can do it.
Customer Review: I would have been lost without this Wolverine photo storage in Namibia Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this device before I went on a 4 week trip to Namibia ,Africa.
After each day of photographing the wilderness and the wild animals of the country the Wolverine was a convenient and an easy way of storing the photographs.
It's rather quick in copying the data from the memory card and the battery life was very good and that's very important when a long time could last between possible recharging.
Customer Review: Avoid this product Summary: 1 Stars
The predecessor of the model 7080 was the model 7008, also 80 GB. I bought one in January 2007 to store digital photos on long trips. In May 2008 the hard drive failed, losing about 1,300 photos of a trip to Japan. Of course, the reason to use such a product in the first place is to safeguard photos from loss. This company's product caused the worst kind of failure: permanent loss of irreplaceable photos.
