I've used it a few time since last year, it's not the best one out there, but definitely one of the cheapest. Most of the time I can't see anything, and it's detecting 'something'.
But a lot of time it will detect the cops with handheld speed radar so that works pretty well. Still I wouldn't bet my life on it, as it's more like a toy to me. I like the Quiet mode, blue-lights feature which you could could also mute the obnoxiously loud alarm when it's detecting something.
It's a fun device, and it'll help you to avoid getting tickets or slow down in certain 'zones' before you get into trouble.

I was extremely happy to pay the price I did for this model, but while the saying goes "you get what you pay for", some things need to be tweaked a little. The product works very well on the Highway setting, while also looking very nice and like it should have cost much more, the City setting has issues. I live in a small rural town, so most of our major businesses (banks, pharmacies, car dealerships, etc) are located down main street strip, which causes it to be hell driving along and having the detector alarming almost constantly. If it weren't for that, I would have given the product 5 stars.Customer Review: Good value for the money

I had the earlier model of this Radar detector for about 6 yrs and was trying to by the same detector for my daughter and girlfriend. This is the model that replaced it. Just as good as the older one with a few more options. I have had expensive ones that don't do any more than this one does. If there is a cop around with radar on, this one picks it up before you get to him just like the expensive ones do. I couldn't be happier with a radar detector for such a resonable price. Buy it. Don't spend 3 to 5 times the money on one that does the same thing not worse or better.Customer Review: Great Radar Detector!

This radar detector is very good for the price. It looks cool and alerts well. Works best for highway drivers as highway patrol usually use their radar more often then city police. No radar detector whether $40 or $500 never gives false readings. It can get annoying in the city and city police depending on the department, use laser and not radar and even though it detects laser, if you get caught it's too late. Driving under bridges makes the detector go off. Don't spend a bunch of money on a detector when most don't work, get this one, most bang for the buck.Customer Review: Great So Far

I Bought this and put it in my car. It was placed in center windshield but i found out that is illegal in CA. so it is now in my lower left side of windshield. This is a good place to hide it and to see it easier. On H mode (highway) i always have it on. Along with V/L (V2 and Laser) is always on. It has not picked up many false alarms which is great. and i know my area well and there had been no high alerts i need to pay attention to because i know there are no cops. So i am waiting to see if it will work when there are some. But you cant beat the price! Buy!
