Do NOT buy this drive. Western Digital My Book is unreliable. I've had two of these drives, and they both died after a few months of very light use. In both cases, the drive suddenly started making the infamous clicking sound of death, and all the data was lost.Customer Review: Western Digital External HD

WD external HD arrived and was in good condition worked well, but came without an E-Sata cable. I don't know why WD would ship the device without this necessary cable to hook up to a TIVO. For pete's sake, charge a few $ more, but include all the cables.Customer Review: NOT FOR TIVO

Decent hard drive,a little slow with USB. Originally purchased for TIVO HD expansion, the model number looks the same but it is not supported by Tivo. Do not try to link with your DVR, but it does make a good Time Machine back-up for my Mac.Customer Review: Great product. Just wish it had a FireWire port.

This product is a great hdd. It works well and looks great. Once the computer recognizes the external hdd, it transfers data at speeds that will blow you away. My only complaint is that I wish it had a FireWire port.Customer Review: Excellent

Dealing with as much media as I do, I really needed the extra disk space on the go. This hard drive is an superb choice for high volume mobility. Note: the computer MUST be off to disconnect eSATA.
