Not only is this drive much faster than my old IDE drive with 8M cache, it is as quiet as can be. In fact, if I didn't see my screen updating, I'd think the drive was dead it's so quiet! Got this very fast
These caviar hard drives seem to be reliable. I have a 350 and two 250mb that are almost 2 years old and two 250mb that are almost a year old and two 500mb that are over a month old. So far so good

Drive arrived in just 4 days from Amazon. Was pleased it was the retail boxed edition with cables and jumper and screws. Installed easily. Restored my MS Windows XP and Ubuntu 9.04 OS very easily. Drive is fast and quiet.
