Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Western Digital Caviar Blue 640 GB Bulk/OEM Hard Drive 3.5 Inch, 16 MB Cache, 7200 RPM SATA II WD6400AAKSCustomer Review: No Problems So Far Summary: 5 Stars
The 640 gig SADA hard drive is being used in an Antec MX-100 3.5" USB Aluminum Enclosure and all is working fine so far. I had a large amount of data to transfer initially so I connected it internally on the motherboard for that. Afterwards, I just power it up when needed. I have had no problems so far. The drive is OEM so don't expect cables, disks, etc.
Customer Review: Amazing for 38 dollars shipped Summary: 5 Stars
I got this on some kind of fire sale for about an hour where the 640gb blue was on sale for 38 dollars and free shipping. As far as I can tell it works great (I put in in the gfs computer as the main drive using Arconis true image).
If its ridiculously on sale buy it, if not the egg has better deals on harddrives
Customer Review: Failed Immediately Summary: 1 Stars
Windows 7 started popping up error messages the first time I copied data to this drive. SeaGate SeaTools tested it and determined it would die soon.
If you are like me and count 1 star reviews to try to determine how likely the drive is to be a dud, here is one more to throw into the pile.
Customer Review: Great Price and Great So Far Summary: 4 Stars
Great price for this, installed it a couple days ago and had no problems, it is the drive only as has been stated so I recommend you order a 4-pin Molex to SATA Power Connector Adapter(major outlets don't stock these) and a hard drive cable along if you don't already have them.
Customer Review: Great drive, Easy Setup....Quiet Summary: 5 Stars
I have owned many WD drives in the past. I have never had any issues with them. This drive is no exception. The setup was a easy and effortless. The drive is quiet and fast. What more can you ask for at such a great price....And you can't beat Amazon's shipping...
