Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Western Digital 320 GB Passport 2.5" USB 2.0 Hard DriveCustomer Review: Review of recently purchased WD 320 Gb Passport Summary: 4 Stars
The passport was received in excellent condition (new). I have already stored much data (pics, tunes and text) with plenty of room to spare. Item was shipped expeditiously and drive was delivered in less than a week.Western Digital My Passport Essential 320GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive (Midnight Black) Vendor, A&G Shoes appears to be reliable.
Customer Review: Great mobile drive, great price Summary: 5 Stars
Small, light and stylish. I got this in a gold box deal on the cheap. Formatted storage capacity with NTFS was 297GB. Sustained large file transfers on Vista-x64 stayed at a solid 29 MBytes/sec. I haven't ran into the power issue others have and I've tried it on at least a dozen machines. I'm not saying it doesn't exist I'm just saying it's probably more of a rare issue. Amazon shipped it fast even using the free shipping option.
Customer Review: Not satisfied with the dealer Summary: 3 Stars
I was not at all satisfied with the dealer of this product. They displayed a different product on their web site...specifically because of which I paid an extra $10 cause it was exactly like my previous one which got stolen.
On receiving a different model, I called them up to let them know of the error. But the customer service representative was not able to login to the Amazon portal and help me out.
Customer Review: Exactly what I was looking for Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for a small portable storage solution that would fit into a safety deposit box, and the 320GB Passport worked out perfectly. It runs with just one USB wire plugged into my desktop PC. I reformatted it as NTFS since it is shipped as fat32, and I then used Acronis Trueimage to back up my hard drive partitions onto the 320GB Passport. I am relieved knowing that my data is now safe.
Customer Review: When will the 500 GB version be available? :) Summary: 5 Stars
I've just replaced my WD 250 GB Passport by this one... for me, it's a better alternative than opening my MacBook Pro (21 screws, bro) to install a larger internal HD.
Brief review: good companion for notebook users who need additional storage without compromising mobility.
Killer features: small form factor, charge through USB, plenty of disk space.
