Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch Fun Small TabletCustomer Review: Awesome Bamboo that's a BAM !! Summary: 5 StarsThis is my first tablet. I'm 23 years old and I enjoy drawing Anime and I got interested into owning a tablet. I have never known about Wacom, but I have seen that the company's high in the professional and individual ratings. I purchased the Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch on July 3, 2010 and received it without any damage on July 9, 2010. I installed it on July 11, 2010 on my Windows 7, 64 bit PC. Installation was a breeze from hooking the Bamboo to the USB, installing the setup CD and the bundled software, and downloading the most recent drivers from the Wacom's site (I recommend that everyone should check to see if there are any recent drivers) and finally taking advantage of my Bamboo >,<
The Pen has that natural feeling of a real pen. It's light as a feather. The Bamboo has the feeling of a real paper as the surface is textured. I have had little difficulties with looking at my monitor (32" monitor while I draw on the surface area) but now after some practice it's second nature. Did I mention I'm writing my review on the Bamboo? Lol, the experience is exactly the same as writing on notebook. The word-recognition is amazing so varied handwriting styles are easily recognizable.
I won't go into all the details as others have already reviewed, but this is the perfect choice for the beginning-tablet user. It's affordable for those who are students as I am (Architecture major) and who are on a budget the Bamboo is really stylish, thin, and versatile. The packaging was amazingly thought of by the Wacom people. It's a "Macbook " kind of experience seeing the box and opening it. This Bamboo, while not so much complex as its older brothers, deserves to be noticed for its price, features, and design.
