I did a good bit of reading other reviews before a made the decision to buy this. I ordered one several months ago for my basement wood shop and liked it so much that I ordered a second one for my art studio. It has a clear, crisp sound and an easy-to-read display. I'm 60 and the failing eyes and ears appreciate those attributes. Unless these two phones have problems before a year is out, then I'd probably order another if and when my other phones need replacement.Customer Review: Good phone for the money!!

Great cordless phone!! No problems so far and the range is great, even when I walk outside and close the door. People come across very clear and crisp. The 20 name phone directory is great and easy to use. The battery life is good for what I use it for. I guess my only complaint is that I wish the ringer was a tad louder but thats probably a personal preference. Overall, for the money, I highly recommend this phone.Customer Review: Terrible phone!

I have another V-tech which I love but this one (Vtech ia5824) is a worthless piece of junk. It disconnects calls within a few minutes and has poor volume when using headset. Followed all suggestions in manual--nothing worked. Am returning it to V-tech on my dime because Antonline has such a consumer unfriendly return policy. I'll never buy a phone online again! We received one as a Christmas present, and liked it at first--back when it was working. Only 5 months later, we began having having trouble getting it to charge and keep a charge. Now, almost 7 months later, it has a loud hum on either channel and the handset almost won't hold a charge at all. We are shopping for a new, decent phone.Customer Review: Good phone for bad ears

I have moderate hearing loss and wear behind the ear hearing aids. Because of the superior voice quality, this analog phone works far better for me than any of the several digital ones I have tried, even the much more expensive ones designed for the hard of hearing with extra volume boost and tone options.
