We've been using Vtech phones for years - really impressed with this system. Very clear - been blaming the "echo" on the phone line for quite a while, but maybe it was my old phone system?
Pros: Enter a number in the directory on one phone, all phones are updated! We have WIFI and Bluetooth and all sorts of RF and IR stuff floating in the house; phone is crystal clear.
Con: Phone does not display the time of day (I liked that about our old system). No belt clip if you like to carry the phone around. Very slim design makes it hard to cradle the phone between your ear and shoulder.

My husband have been battling with various wireless phone systems trying to find a home phone system that doesn't suck. Finally this system filled all of our needs. No interference from our DSL, wireless router and appliances. We don't get kicked off the internet when answering the phone (with a DSL filter installed). Multiple handsets. An answering machine that is loud enough to hear even when someone mumbles or talks fast on the machine. The handsets work downstairs, upstairs, in the garage, on the patio and even when walking half a block to the mailboxes. Woo Hoo.Customer Review: Awesome phone!

As family of 5, we were quite picky on choosing a phone that would meet all of our needs. This one did! Sound clarity is awesome, stylish good looks, good fit against your ear and we love the call transfer. No more yelling "The phone is for you!" and the intercom: no more: "Come and eat!" the phone locator...because even though we know its in the couch, we just don't know where...and the speaker for the phone itself..."Look mom, I can fix my hair and talk on the phone at the same time!" The good: works with VOIP voice mail; sound quality; no interference; distance reception; battery life; speaker phone on handset; ergonomics; global contact and CID list.
The bad: no date/time on handset; no call length tracking; not all buttons light up; battery charge meter only displays when phone is on charge station.
I don't use the built-in answering machine so I can't comment on that.
I gave a rating of 4 stars, but really should be 3.5 stars.

Although I 've not yet read a page of the instructions booklet, all seems to be working just fine. Love the 5 handsets to spread around the property. The LCD screen could have a better contrasst of colors than the blue background with purpleish text. Black would have been a better choice for the text. Shipper had it to me in 3 days...execllent. No damage to packaging as often occurs with products shipped in their store display boxes. Quite satisfied.
