I bought these phones because I just switched to Vonage which only allows one wall phone outlet to be used. The base phone of this system can be plugged into the Vonage router and all of the other phones can be placed around the house for wireless use. That means they can be put in any room regardless of whether you have a phone jack. I have a 3000 sq. foot home and I get outstanding reception wherever I am. I am a bit of a technophile but these phones are a no-brainer to set up. If you can put in the batteries and plug them into a 110v outlet your done. The speaker phones on each handset were excellent. The phones have a ton of features I will never use but for me these couldn't be better. The system is a great bang for the buck without question. I am a harsh critic of cheap crap and these pass with flying colors!Customer Review: Does not last! Do not get.

First of all, yeah the LCD screen is cool. It has color, wow! Too bad you can't put in your own pictures and the pictures given are pretty awful. A ball, some sand, a tiger and.. lincoln.
It worked well for a year. Sound clarity was very good, range was very good, it did everything it was supposed to do. At least it did until the warranty period ran out.
All except one of the phones is broken now. They simply won't work at all! Two of them, even when fully charged, die right when they come off the charging station. One simply won't connect at all. The last surviving one is barely grasping for life while I'm here looking for a new phone system.
Do I recommend it? Yes, if you like switching phones a lot. No, if you don't.

While I liked the features - especially the fact that a name/number stored on any hand set is automatically added to all other handsets, I have had 2 base stations "die" in 5 months. I returned the first one and a "refurbished" one was returned to me in about 2 weeks. I'm not bothering to return the 2nd one.
Maybe I'm just unlucky but it suggests reliability problems to me!!

I wear hearing aids in both ears. Even with built in circuitry which is telephone compatible, communication on a regular telephone can be frustrating and difficult. As a result, I depend upon speakerphones for ease of telephone conversation. The clarity of this speakerphone is excellent and makes it easy for both parties to carry on a conversation. The linked telephone directory is also a big plus. You only have to enter your phone directory once and is automatically entered in the other phone directories. Intercom feature is also great as we live in a two story home. System works well throughout the house. The V tech system was a good choice.Customer Review: Still delighted after 8 months

This has been a great phone. Battery life is never a problem, audio is clear, no interference with my WiFi.
The speakerphone capability, and paging between handsets is great, but I kindof wish it had a 1/8th inch phono plug for a headset, but it's not a big issue.
Also, it would be nice if I could use the speakerphone while it's on the charger, but I've never had issues with battery life, even with multi-hour teleconferences.
These two 'critiques' are only listed because I had to really think about it, but over all, I would recommend this set to anyone, as I've been very pleased.
