Customer Review: Nice phone if it lasted
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought two of these phones at a local Target in May. One lasted about 1 month before it stopped working. Target replaced it and it still works. The second one just quit working (all you hear is clicking on the receiver) after 6 months (beyond Targets return window), so I have to try to get ATT to replace it. I shipped it back today ($10 shipping to TX) for my $25 phone...we'll see what I get back. The warranty on the phone is 1 year. Note that these phones are made for ATT by Advanced American Telephones, a company I will now avoid at all costs.

NOTE: A third phone has now failed after about one year (microphone failed on the handset). I did receive a replacement for the second failed phone and have it in use now but am not confident it will last very long. Pretty disappointing since this phone has nice features.

Customer Review: handset never worked and store wouldn't take it back
Summary: 1 Stars

This phone's features met all of my needs:

corded (worked in power outages)
caller-ID
speaker phone
BIG buttons

BUT, the handset never worked and after a few months of limited use, (my primary phone is a cordless, which is kept downstairs), I found that most folks could not hear me very well on the speaker phone either.
I tried taking it back to the store, but their return policy was for <30 days and since it took me longer than that to discover that the speaker phone wasn't very functional, I couldn't return it locally and AT&T warranty agreement wanted me to pay to ship it, so they could keep it for a month to determine its disposition.
NO THANKS
no more AT&T phones for me

Customer Review: Good Phone for Me
Summary: 5 Stars

This phone is used as a part-time at-home office phone tied into my home phone line. I bought it primarily because my old phone's caller ID quit working. I like the speaker phone, programmable numbers, a pleasant, not too loud ring, and if my husband is using the upstairs phone, my caller ID screen says "Line In Use" and a soft light comes on to alert me not to pick up. The handset is comfortable to hold. However, voices seem kind of soft, not sharp, but maybe that's just me, and it's not really a problem. Haven't used other features such as Hold and Mute yet. Didn't want an answering machine attached and this phone fit the bill. Nicely affordable, too.

Customer Review: Great Phone - More Features than Promised
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great phone for those of us who still like to have a corded phone in the house. Everything was as advertised, except that it has a 25 number programmable directory in addition to the 14 "one touch" numbers. The online description and the package information fail to mention this great feature. I was almost ready to spring for the next model which for twice the price promised a 50 number directory.
I also like AT&T's caller ID software that can be set up to know whether incoming calls need 7, 10, or 11 digits for a call back. Some other phones make you toggle through the 7, 10, and 11 digit options woth the # key before you can call back.

Customer Review: Great speaker phone
Summary: 5 Stars

Love this phone. Large numbers and speaker phone quality is excellent. Bought this phone for the speaker feature alone...spend a lot of time on phone and it gets very uncomfortable holding the receiver to ear all the time and this also frees you to do other things while talking. I don't need a lot of features and haven't really checked out other features of this phone, although it seems to have plenty. Only downside is that Caller ID and speaker feature runs on batteries instead of AC, but apparently that is all that is available anywhere unless phone includes an answering machine (which we already have on another extension).
