Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of AT&T 993 Corded 2-Line SpeakerphoneCustomer Review: Good phone, but one perplexing issue. Summary: 3 StarsI was looking for a solid speakerphone with no answering device or unnecessary frills. This phone fits the bill. It is of substantial weight, feels sturdy, and the feature set is easy to use. I will probably buy more of them as I expand my office.
There is one issue which I can't figure out. Right now there is only one line hooked up. When the phone rings, the red Line 1 light flashes. However, the "New Call" light for Line 2 flashes and the Caller ID information is displayed as coming in on BOTH lines. AT&T's customer support line is automated only. I tried to contact AT&T by e-mail. However, four days later and still no response.
I cannot give the phone 5 stars because of this problem and AT&T's failure to timely respond to my e-mail.
Customer Review: Everything works as expected; very nice office phone Summary: 5 StarsI've had my AT&T 993 2 line phone for a few months now and am very happy with my selection. I read lots of the Amazon reviews on this and other phones, and think this was the best choice for my needs. I did have an intermittent buzz the first few days and found out it was interference from my blackberry being too close to the phone. Audio is crisp and clear, large, well angled LED is nice, and the large buttons are great. I think this is a great phone for the price. Build quality seems very good.
Customer Review: Excellent Phone Summary: 5 StarsI have the older model of this phone and it still works great. I needed another so I bought the 993. Buttons are large and very easy to use. Speakerphone is loud and clear. For around $50 its a very good phone.
Customer Review: Quality Phone at a Reasonable Price Summary: 5 StarsBought this to replace a RCA ViSYS two line phone I'd suffered with for a year. That phone had mediocre sound on the hand set and the speaker phone function was poor to start with and had gotten unusable.
This phone sounds great. Clear and loud on the handset, great speakerphone, and headset. It has a very solid feal and a good set of functions.
I was a little surprised to find there wasn't a dedicated voice mail key, so, I had to dedicate one of my 18 speed dial locations to that, but, other than that I'm very happy with this phone.
Customer Review: Best phone.... Summary: 5 StarsI recently purchased 3 phones, the at&t 993, a panasonic kxts600, and panasonic kxts105 which has no caller id. They were all rated quite good, and are somewhat similar desk phones. The 993 comes with a dc power supply, and has 2 lines. The panasonics are battery powered. In my opinion the 993 is in a whole different league than the panasonics, as well as other phones that I own. It has far better sound quality, much faster operation, it has a larger easier to read screen, and it is a bit heavier so it just feels better. It does not have that annoying hollow sound that you get with the cheaper units. It is by far my phone of choice, a good value, and I just ordered another. Good day.
