This projector has been one of my favorite gadgets I have purchased. I'm not a tech-geek - I'm not overly concerned about crazy resolution or anything like that. I just wanted something that would allow me to both watch movies and play video games wherever I wanted and produce a picture that wasn't noticeably crappy.
I usually will just project the picture onto a wall in my house. Most of my walls are light colored, though none of them are perfectly white. Despite lacking an optimal area for projection, the picture is always great and the colors discernible, regardless of what color wall I project them on. The colors are a little more muted on the darker walls, but it's not a big deal when you're just playing video games.
The unit does get surprisingly warm. It puts out enough heat that if you're using the projector is a smaller-size enclosed room, you can easily notice a temperature difference when you leave the projector room.
There is a little extendable "foot" on the bottom of the projector that allows you to tip the unit up an inch or two. It feels like it is fairly flimsy and I'm pretty careful about raising and lowering the projector with it because it just feels like it will break easily. But it hasn't broken yet, so maybe it's stronger than I think.
I have had the projector for roughly 2 years now and it's still going strong. I only use it for an average of a couple of hours a week, but it has been great and it was just what I was looking for.
