Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of VideoSecu Tilt TV Wall Mount for Most 32"-60" LCD LED Plasma TV Flat Screen, Sturdy Steel Wall Plate Free HDMI Cable and 6" Bubble Level M43Customer Review: Little Worried at First but Now Very Pleased Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little concerned with how low the cost was for the item and I read people who give products negative reviews figuring worst possible scenario. I purchased anyway and must say I was very pleased with what I got. Thick guage metal for the TV brackets and the wall bracket. The screws fit my Dynex 42" LCD which was a major concern since its Best Buy Brand made by Sony, but they fit like a glove. Then when mounting it I live in a rental house and thought I would be going into studs, however it ended up being concrete(its above a non-working fire place). The hardware included anchors for concrete and they went in great. My biggest concern is the free HDMI I snapped the male connector off with very little pressure, it seemed very cheap and luckily I was only going to use it as a back up. So I would not count on using it or be very gentle with it when plugging or unplugging it. I am very pleased with the product and one last note to the person who gave it a bad review due to having no space to plug in cords, yes it is only maybe 3" from the wall but all my cords plug in fine but it is a little difficult to squeeze my hand in between the TV and the wall, but achievable.
Customer Review: Studry product but with some issues. Summary: 4 Stars
Does its job, hides behind the TV. Issues are as follows:
a) Too little clearance behind the TV to plug in the wires or make changes.
b) Tilt action has 2 hooks on each side and either you leave them lose or tighten them in place for a fixed tilt angle, changing them is not easy as the bolt for the inside hooks are hard to reach esp. given the clearance from the wall and the height and depth of the bolt from the side.
c) Screws to the bottom are too difficult to reach and you could get into an issue with removing the TV if these screws are too tight i.e. if you need to pull the TV down and rehang it.
d) Level bubble is off do not rely on it and buy yourself a better one from another source.
e) Overall the the mount is sturdy and cheap compared to retail but there are issues that need to be dealt with.
f) No way to get exact height off the mantel for the TV/Mount so it was a trial and error.
Worked to hang a 65 lbs Sony 55" 3D TV no major issues hooking it up besides those listed above, unhooking the TV was an issue because I needed to rehang it lower once the fireplace was redone.
Customer Review: Great mount, Great Price! Summary: 5 Stars
I am 100% satisfied with this mount. It took a little longer than I had expected for shipping, but once I got it, the installation was very simple! Everyone who says don't trust the built in level is right, but who gives a product a negative review because they were incompetent enough to trust a built in level that cost the manufacturer 2 cents to make? Come on!
The mount came with many different screw sizes and lengths as well as slotted holes on the brackets to accommodate for different makes/models of TV's. The wall bracket also has slotted holes which was nice as where I was mounting, the 2 studs in the wall were not center to where I wanted my TV.
TV tilts nicely (you just have to loosen the screws on the bottom of the TV brackets that hold the bottom from pulling away from the wall)
The only issue I could see being a problem is that this is listed to fit TV's as small as 32". I have a 40" and I could defiantly see where anything less than maybe a 37" the mount would stick out from behind the TV
Overall it is a very nice mount both for quality and for price!
Customer Review: Excellent Mount Summary: 5 Stars
Everything about this mount was of a high quality. The mount itself is very sturdy and confidence-inspiring. The 6 wood screws are perfectly durable and more than acceptable to do the job (contrary to other reviews I have seen.) The integrated bubble-level was very useful and accurate. The included assortment of screws for attaching to the TV was impressive (although I only needed the one size). The hardest part for me was figuring out how high I wanted the mount and finding the studs with a stud-finder. I was able to use 3 separate vertical studs due to the location of the studs relative to where I wanted to hang the TV. If I wanted to mount the TV 6 or 8 inches to either side, I would have had to settle for just 2 studs. The tilt is a nice bonus, but if you have big hands it's tricky to reach the tightener bolts. Also, like other reviewers, I recommend attaching all cables before hanging the TV, because there is not much space between the wall and the TV. I'm very happy with this mount. My Samsung 50" Plasma looks great hanging on the wall. Next step, hiding the cables.
Customer Review: Excellent.....Awesome price Summary: 5 Stars
The "VideoSecu Tilt TV Wall Mount for Most 32"-60" LCD LED Plasma, Sturdy Steel Wall Plate, Free 7 ft HDMI Cable M43" is a wonderfully easy and secure mounting bracket.
It is extremely easy to mount, it was packed well with all hardware that's needed and can be mounted on different surfaces including block with the included hardware. The mounted level is inaccurate, but a hand held one was included in the box. It can be done with 1 person, but a 2 person job to make it easier.
I used it to mount a Vizio 37" LCD TV on 1/2" Sheetrock over 3/4" Plywood which is attached to Cinder Block by furring strips, it worked very well with with the enclosed 6 lag screws. I did purchase Toggle bolts to use but I did not need them. Better or additional hardware can always be purchased
This TV is viewed from an angle a lot in my business and I don't find that the bracket showing is an issue.
I plan to purchase another for future use in my home. There is nothing cheap about it except the price:-)
You can be confident with this mount.
Happy Mounting:-)
