Customer Review: Very solid mount that easily holds a 40" Samsung
Summary: 5 Stars

This mount comes extremely well packed with all the different mounting hardware you may need. There are different screws to accommodate different TV manufacturers mounting schemes, with each set of screws individually packaged in a numbered pouch.

The rectangular holes across the top and bottom of the mount allow you to decide where to place the mount relative to the two studs that secure it. So if the studs are to the left of center, for example, you can use the left-most top and bottom holes for one set of screws, and the holes 16" to the right of them for the second set. The vertical bars holding the TV can then be slid all the way over to the right of the mount. For my 40" Samsung, this allowed me to have the center of the TV about 4" to the right of the right stud holding the mount.

The built-in level was very handy and actually worked better than my long level that I used to double check the set-up. Since my TV didn't include an HDMI cable, I'm using the one that came with the mount. My experience with digital cables is that they either work perfectly or not at all, it doesn't matter whether it's a ten dollar cable or a 100 dollar cable. The one that came with this mount connects my FIOS settop box to the TV and works perfectly.

I spent about an hour getting the mount secured to the wall and the TV connected to the mount. Most of the time was spent verifying where the studs were, and because the TV is mounted about 9 feet off the ground I needed ladders, etc, to do the job which added additional time. My 14 year old daughter helped me to hoist the TV onto the mount for final placement, otherwise it's a single person job.

Customer Review: Cheap and sturdy
Summary: 5 Stars

I just received this last week and got around to mounting it during the weekend. Installation is fairly simple, nothing different from any other wall mount out there. The HDMI cable that came with it also worked perfectly.

The device itself feels very sturdy and secure even before you mount it. The metal used is very resistant and doesn't bend. I mounted this on a concrete wall using the provided screws and anchors. You get a lot more screws than you will really need so you will only use the ones that fit your specific TV set. I was a little worried at first because of the plastic anchors (I thought they might not hold properly) but hey proved to be pretty strong. Once I installed the base part on the wall I pulled it pretty hard and even got a friend to help me and the thing wouldn't move at all. After mounting my TV on it (a 46" LCD) it still feels pretty secure so I'm not worried of it falling down. Adjusting the bottom screws once you have the TV mounted is a bit tricky but if you're a little bendy you can do it without too much effort and given that this is not something that you would be moving everyday I think this is no big issue.

One thing to note is the included bubble level. I read on some reviews that some people found it to be a little off. I checked mine against a professional brand name level and it turned out to be accurate but I would still check it if I were you just to be on the safe side.

Overall I think this is a fairly standard wall mount that works as advertised and costs a lot less than some of the other mounts that do the same thing. I don't see a reason why I wouldn't buy it again if I had another TV to mount.

Customer Review: why spend more to mount your flat screen tv
Summary: 5 Stars

Upon much consideration I believe I made the right decision to purchase this television mount. Price was utmost important to me since I did NOT want to spend hundreds of dollars to mount our new flat screen television. Even at our local retailers (the big ones you all know about) the price was too much for a television mount. I bought this based on price ONLY since I could not physically touch it or inspect it online. For me it was a gamble buying this procuct sight unseen as I like to inspect a product completely before buying it. I am COMPLETELT relieved since the wall mount arrived to my home. Installation was a snap, and it is up to the job of securely wall mounting our 50 inch flat screen television. This mount is rated for televisions weighing twice as much as our television. It is made of heavy gauge steel, and I sleep well at night KNOWING this mount will hold the tv without breaking. Great purchase and excellent quality. I would definately recommend this product to anyone wanting a wall mount for their television. You could spend hundreds of dollars on a wall mount with the thought that the more expensive mount has to be better. Even the television manufacturer has a mount for this tv, but the price they wanted was 6 times the price of this one. Do NOT buy the high dollar mounts with the misconception that more expensive means better. This mount is universal meaning it will fit most all televisions out there--I believe it will. Save your hard earned money and buy this product. Thanks Amazon and Thanks to the manufacturer.

Customer Review: Works great, good price.
Summary: 5 Stars

Overall, the mount works great for the price I paid. I'm using it to hold my 46" Sharp LCD (400mm X 400mm bolt pattern) above my fireplace. Here are some minor things to consider before buying:
1. This is very low profile. I can access the connections on the back of my LCD, but I can't really see anything, so I have to go by touch. I made all my connections before hanging the LCD on the wall.
2. The leveling bubble on the back panel is worthless, DO NOT TRUST IT; must use your own level. So I only gave it 4 stars for construction quality.
3. I have 16" spaced wall studs, as is common in most homes, but I was unable to center the wall bracket due to the hole alignment in the metal. Not a big deal since my TV easily covers up the mount.
4. It was challenging to tighten the locking screw on each bracket due the low profile of the mount and the proximity to my fireplace mantel.
5. The mount only tilts forward (about 20 degrees), which is fine, but it is tight for reaching behind the TV to tighten the screw on each bracket that holds the TV at the desired angle.

Some reviews said they didn't trust the lag bolts, but they seemed fine to me, but I did notice a couple of them had a slightly larger hex head, but I only used four out of the six provided. I had no problems with provided fasteners. Overall, there were no suprises with this item as I knew there would be some challenges with spacing constraints, just had to be patient as I mounted it. It only took about an hour.

Customer Review: Best tilt mount for the money
Summary: 5 Stars

I looked at mounts in the local stores and prices ran the gamut from $75 to over $200 dollars. This seemed excessive for what amounts to less than $10 worth of hardware and stamped steel. I looked here on Amazon and was tempted to buy the lowest cost tilt mount, but a couple of reviews indicated it was kind of flimsy, and I didn't want to hang a $1200 LCD from a questionable mount. The reviews for this one where overwhelmingly positive, so I ordered it. For $40 shipped I am extremely pleased. I mounted the wallplate and hung the brackets in place, and holding onto the brackets I hung all of my 200+ lbs off the floor (Be sure all 4 mounting bolts are securely in wall studs if you plan to attempt a similar maneuver). The unit felt rock solid. Mounting a Sharp Aquos 46" LCD (the 46E77, which is about 55 lbs) above our fireplace proved to be no problem using the supplied hardware. I can't imagine why a tilt mount should cost any more than this one. You certainly won't be getting more value by spending more elsewhere, unless the mounting holes on your LCD are too far apart for this unit. The Sharp 46" LCD was nowhere near the maximum range of adjustment for the brackets or the mounting plate.

The kit contains all the hardware needed to attach the unit to wall studs or masonry. A level is not included, which you will probably find very useful. One of the cheap 12" plastic levels from Harbor Freight or a home supply store is really all that is needed.
