Customer Review: Simple and enough room to reach behind
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the second mount I bought the first one wasn't the right type but I am glad it wasn't for this mount is perfect for my needs.

I placed the 37" TV on a flat surface on top of a blanket to prevent scratching. I screwed the side brackets on. (I placed mine on upside down but I figured it out before and real work was done.) Time to mount the wall plate. I went and sat down in a chair opposite from where the TV was going to be and "eyeballed it" a bit higher. I then marked it with a pencil. I am not going to tell you the exact measurement because everyone is different so just make it at the height that you want it and remember the higher it is the more you have to look up to watch it unless you stand to watch TV. Okay now your gonna need a level you can try to fake it but I wouldn't since you are screwing holes in you wall. Draw a line with the level and line up the wall plate and screw it in. Some people say you should use better bolts then the ones that came with the mount well I used the ones that came with it and they worked fine.

You have the TV on the floor with the side brackets attached and you have the wall plate level and screwed to the wall. I wanted a more clean look so I drilled 1/2 inch holes in the wall with a hole bit on my drill so I could pass the cables through it. I would suggest you go ahead and do this even if you are not ready to attach all the cables.

Time to place the TV on the wall plate. Attaching the cables to the back of the TV is probably a good idea but not a necessity but it makes life easier. Pick the TV up and place the little hooks on the brackets to the wall mount and let go! Don't worry it will hold. Tighten the little clamps and make sure the safety screw is there.

Your done with the mounting now you just have to adjust. The mount allows you to tilt the TV but you have to unscrew the little knobs on side and if the TV isn't exactly right where you want it you can slide it from side to side a few inches.

There is enough room to reach your hand behind the TV to plug in cables but its tight and you have to look at a diagram of the connections on the back but it can be done.

For good measure and I wouldn't recommend doing this I held onto the top of the TV and hung from it for a second just to see how well it held. The TV didn't fall so I guess it did well.

Buy this TV mount you will enjoy it.

Customer Review: Perfect mount for my needs
Summary: 5 Stars

This mount was perfect for my needs. I have never mounted a tv before, always had mine on a stand. I've always wanted my tv above my fireplace, but didn't want to pay tons of money for install. This was the perfect mount. Since I needed the tv above the fireplace, it is a little above eye level. This mount gave me the option of mounting it flat, or with a slight tilt which is what I used. I was able to install it by myself in about 1/2 an hour. I have a 42" Samsung LCD which gave me a 38" width of the tv. The back plate is 30" so it is completely hidden, but long enough that I was able to secure it on 3 studs which makes it very secure. It comes with all the hardware needed (screws and washers to secure the mount to the back of the tv and bolts to secure it to the wall, and even an HDMI cable). You still will need a 1/2" socket wrench, drill to start the holes for the screws in the wall, and obviously a measuring tape. My favorite feature was the level built into the mount. Because of this, I was able to mount it straight by myself. The only design flaw I saw was the tilt locking. It has knobs that you have to tighten like a vice would have. There wasn't enough room to move the knobs after the bracket was on the tv when it was in the flat position. You would have to tighten them before you secure the bracket to the back of the tv. But other than that, it did its job, is well built, and easy to use. It will be easy to change this over to a new tv if I ever upgrade. All my cables ran under the back plate and I was able to run them into the wall. There are 4 holes that you can run wires through if they are located in a different location than mine. Definitely measure your tv first to make sure it won't hang past the edges. Do a little pre-planning and see where the cables are located and if you need to put any holes in the wall before you mount.

Customer Review: Easy 5 Stars, Works Great!
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently purchased a new 60" Sony LED TV, to replace another 60" Sony I had in its place. I sat the new LED TV up on its stand and thought...maybe this should be on the wall. I researched alot of wall mounts, and saw alot of ridiculous prices at local stores. I came across this mount on amazon and immediately ordered it. The wall mount showed up and I began to install the "arms" to the rear of my TV. The back of my set has a perfectly flat back which made it easy to install the two tilting arms. After that I located, measured and laid out the studs and mounting plate.

After drilling the pilot holes I remembered seeing mention of the included lag bolts, believe me its well worth a quick trip to the hardware store. After purchasing 4 new, shiny, sharp, and most importantly rated lag bolts I got back to work. I used my own level, just to be sure, however did find the included bubble level was pretty accurate...much to my surprise.

I decided on 0 tilt for this install, and set the Sony TV in place, I must say it looks great mounted on the wall. This mount is really all you need for any TV...it handles up to 165 pounds and I think you could easily hang from it. Its got a nice clean black finish, feels very heavy and well built.

The included hardware is pretty good, minus the lag bolts, you'll definitely wanna replace those even if its just for peace of mind.

All in all the price and quality of this product went above and beyond what I expected, and I'm really quite happy with the outcome. If you're thinking about wall mounting your TV, do not hesitate to purchase this mount...you'll be very happy you did!

(I included a picture also just for reference...its a cell phone pic so its not the greatest but hopefully it'll give you some idea of the end result)

Customer Review: An Outstanding Deal
Summary: 4 Stars

I was a little unsure about what to expect when I ordered this mount. I read the reviews and the top-heavy positive feedback convinced me to get it, but I still had doubts. Ultimately I figured, if I need to spend $200 on a mount, I might as well take a $40 gamble. Wow, I wish I had these results at Vegas.

It looks great and is sturdy. My 46 in plasma is up and solid as a rock. I mounted my front side speakers on the sides of the TV so as to hide the mount so I essentially just have a TV sitting on my wall without anything visibly holding it up.

The system is easy to assemble, although the instructions do suffer from typical Asian translation problems. In the couple of other languages I can communicate in, I would never publish anything without a native speaker looking it over to say: yeah, that's not really how we speak, but I digress. The screws are shoddy like mentioned elsewhere, so get your own at a hardware store for an extra $5 or so. I also mounted a plywood plate between the bracket and wall because I just didn't feel safe mounting to only two studs, but the instructions say it's find to do it that way.

I am looking at mounting brackets the way I've come to understand HDMI cables: the prices at the box stores are crazy high because they have people who are plunking down $1,000 for a set and are excited as heck to get home to try it out. Then the salesperson says, do you have an HDMI cord? What about a mounting bracket? You won't get that true HD without the cord, and won't your set look great mounted on the wall all pretty and out of the way? Joe and Jane customer just want their TV so they fork out the bucks to use their new toy as soon as possible.

You don't need to be that Joe or Jane, get this mount.

Customer Review: Bracket got the job done
Summary: 5 Stars

Purchased a 47" Vizio to hang above the fireplace and decided on this bracket after spending a few days going through different sites. Constructed well and they send plenty of bolts to a make sure there is a fit no matter the model of tv you have. Went up very easy and once secured into the studs, the bracket isn't going anywhere. I would suggest using your own level when putting it up as the one that comes with it is pretty small. Before you secure it though, stand back and take a look with your tv on it. Just because the bracket is level doesn't mean the tv will be if the house has done any settling...ours had so we had to make a small adjustment. If you are going to tilt your tv, I would tilt the bracket to where you think you want it, secure it and then set the tv on the bracket. There isn't a lot of space between the wall and tv so it can be hard to get your hand back there with the tv on the bracket to make any adjustments....I know some people complained about the lack of space and trying to get adjustments made. I didn't think it was that big of a deal to place the tv up there a few times, take it down to make ajustments and put it back up. If you have someone helping you it goes pretty quick. Before hanging your tv once and for all, connect all the cables to the back of the tv. It's a lot easier this way then waiting until it is mounted. One last point I would make is if you are hanging it about a fireplace mantel, it's very hard to get to the screws that help secure the tv to the mount on the underside of the bracket. The space I had in between the mantel and the bottom of the tv was very small. However, the tv is very secure once placed on the bracket so not sure I really needed to tighten the two screws anyway.
