Customer Review: ball head doesn't lock into position

needed a short stand for a LCD monitor with 1/4x20 socket, it was a plus to have ball head mount to adjust the angle of the monitor once the stand is mounted. Items arrived quickly from amazon (the item was sold be 3rd party). The ball didn't lock into place even when I screwed in the knob as tight as possible. For the price, I didn't expect too much and I didn't bother to file a claim or try to return it. I had a small silk tripod ball head already, so I unscrewed the cheap head and replaced it; thank goodness for that or it would have been a total waste of money. I like the fact the segments are adjustable so that's a plus. Got my short stand reused a ball head mount I already had. Walking away with no lose of time or money = somewhat happy. Remember, you get what you pay for. I WOULDN'T recommend this item.
