Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Verbatim DVD-R 4.7GB 8X DataLifePlus White Inkjet Printable, Hub Printable 50pk SpindleCustomer Review: Verbatim Product Number: 94854 Summary: 5 Stars
After sometime of using "generic" dvd-r', I decided to switch to a brand name product, and for some
reason came up with Verbatim...
The generics always worked well for me, but I thoght I'd give a brand name dvd-r a try.
I really dont see any visible difference between the generic and this Verbatim, but perhaps over the
years, there just might be a visual indication of some deterioration.
But, I do a fair amount of burning to these disks. For me, my main purpose is to preserve all my
digital photo slideshows onto these dvd's. All I can say is that I only hope all my slideshows will
still be "viewable" some 50 years from now, after I'm long gone.
Customer Review: Excellent on my Epson printer Summary: 5 Stars
I have an Epson R-380 that use Claria high definition inks and these blank printable DVDs provide excellent results. Just access the printable DVD program and create profession results.
Remember, you must have a printer that accept these printable discs! My R-380 printer prints these things up effortlessly.
I've bought these 50 spindle sets twice now and have had no problem with the quality, either on the printable surface or the recording side.
When I first started purchasing recordable DVDs, they cost several dollars each. Now you can buy these excellent printable ones for a fraction of that.
Customer Review: High failure rate compared to the shiny-surface version Summary: 1 Stars
I highly recommend the shiny-surface version of the Verbatim DataLifePlus disks over these white-coated ones. As far as I know they should be idetical except for that shiny vs. white surface difference, but I have bought at least three 50-pack spindles of the shiny version and have encountered maybe one or two bad disks. My 50-pack of the white ones, on the other hand, had at least 10 bad disks according to two separate DVD-recording devices. I wondered if both my devices happened to be going bad at the same time but since switching back to the shiny version I have yet to encounter another bad disk.
Customer Review: Absolutely the best DVDs I have ever purchased. Summary: 5 Stars
I don't think I've ever seen a better price or a better DVD. I've purchased numerous stacks of these Verbatim disks, and never had a single coaster. Not once. I wish I could say the same about other brands I've tried.
Additionally, the fact that these disks are hub-printable is fantastic, as it means I am able to print full-color graphics on disks without the need to hassle with sticky labels. I've been buying Verbatim for awhile now, and the great price and great quality have turned me into a loyal customer. I don't think I'll see anything that can beat these disks.
Customer Review: BUY 'EM Summary: 4 Stars
Let me change my Title for this review.
If YOU choose DVD Recordable media because the non-data surface works well with stick-on labels or your ink-jet printer, don't bother with anything other than the lowest price optical media you can find.
If, on the other hand, you record DVDs or CDs to save, archive, and enjoy the DATA and want quality re-cording, error-free copies, and consistently good performance, then Verbatim Data Life Plus is for you. There are other good brands out there; however, to date, Verbatim's quality has been consistently high.
