Verbatim 96689 8.5GB 8X LightScribe DVD+R DL (10pk Spindle Box).
Purchased this product for the 8.5 DVD+R DL gig capacity. The 4.7 LightScribe product is nice, but do not hold a video project @100% quality past 106 minutes on my editing system. Therefore, this product will satisfy my needs.
In regards to the clarity of the LightScribe light-etching, I agree with other reviews that the labels look less clear than standard labeling, but I like the permanent burn because it will not bleed. In addition, the disks look very nice if you download the free design templates from LightScribe to personalize any project. Looks more professional placed inside a DVD case. The average "Best Quality," labeling task takes 30 minutes to complete. However, you can choose less quality option for quicker LightScribes.
Verbatim should sell larger 8.5 DVD+R DL spindles at a more economical price because the ten packs go fast during project burns. The product works well for me. People will rave about the cool designs and texts you create with the LightScribe programs available on their website :]
If you don't need 8.5 Gig DVD+R DL LightScribe, the 4.7's are found at most stores. If you want to store a project double in size, pick this product. LG LightScribe internal desktop burners work well for me and are inexpensive. Have fun LightScribing!
