Still the best discs you can buy in a retail store. The only discs that are marginally better than Verbatim are Taiyo Yudens that are more expensive and only available online. As far as quality per dollar spent Verbatim is #1. Verbatims are made by Mitsubishi thats why the quality is so high. These discs go on sale at Best Buy every month for only $12.99. I ordered this product despite a couple of reviews that said it had arrived just loose in a box and vulnerable to damage. It came today securely packaged in a box with plenty of air pillow packaging. Amazon.com is reading these reviews! I don't know how the product works yet, but based on others' reviews, I expect great performance. they worked where others didnt.
you know these times when you burn something, it doesnt work, you get upset, you burn it again, it doesnt work again, you ask yourself what were you thinking buying this cheap brand DVDs, order Verbatim?
yeah...
skip that.
just pass go, collect $200 and a pack of these and stay happy.

I was very satisfied with my purchase. I have purchased a lot of things online but never DVDs. The cost was great and I have not had any problems with the product. I was concerned about damaged or defective DVDs but that has not been an issue. I checked out previous reviews on this product and they were positive and very helpful. If you want value for your hard earned money, especially in these times, this is the product to go for. I purchased two packs of these DVD-Rs, a constant user of Verbatim brand for two years now, and so far no coasters just uncompromising quality and dependability all the way. I use them for my data back-ups, MP3 collections, Movies and personal video collections and two years after they still read without errors.
