There's not a lot I can say about blank media used for backup purposes. You pick what you need to back up, burn it to these CDs, and you're backed up. I ordered mine direct from Amazon & it was here the next day even though I got 2-day delivery with Prime... absolutely no problems. However, the discs smell when you open them... a LOT. This is a chemical smell that dissipates over the course of an hour or so, but I'm kind of wondering if I'm going to turn into a Marvel mutant of some sort after I got such a good whiff of these things. Other than the smell, they're great for backing up data & fit my needs perfectly.Customer Review: Simply The Best

I used to think that Maxell was the best. A holdover from the days when I bought Maxell cassette tapes, I think. As for CD-Rs and DVD-Rs, I haven't found anything better than Verbatim in terms of recording quality. Plus, I have an overly sensitive CD player in my car. It plays commercial CDs just fine, but many CD-Rs won't play. You put it in the slot and then it pops it right back out. That just doesn't happen with the Verbatim CD-Rs. My theory is that the CD-Rs that pop out are a tad too thick. Just a theory. Verbatim brand just seems to pay more attention to all the details. This is my second set of the Verbatim CD-Rs. I initially bought the 50-pack and they were all perfect. Not a coaster in the bunch! With the 100-pack, I did notice a slight chemical smell when I first opened the package but it did not last. I am about halfway through this batch and again, absolutely no coasters in the bunch. Not sure why others have trouble. I use these to burn music and class lectures off of my MAC laptop. I listen to them in the car and they sound incredible. PLUS, with the light color I can write all over these and not have to squeeze info onto a tiny area. I love 'em!Customer Review: Very satisfied

I've only been burning CDs a little over a year. I started with the Sony brand thinking I was getting a high quality product. However, I had numerous burn failures and/or playback problems. So I checked the reviews on Sony CD-Rs. Those reviews led me to switch, and I chose Verbatim which in general seemed to be favorably rated. I bought this spindle of 100 and just used the last one. 100 of 100 of the CDs successfully burnt and played. So I ordered my second Verbatim spindle. As far as my experience with Verbatim goes, I've been VERY satisfied.Customer Review: No bad news is good news

Well... I really don't know how could blanket disc could receive 2~4 stars, I think they are either work or not. For me, they are either 5 stars (work), or 1 star (not working). I have burned 10 discs since I got this spindle, none of them become coaster. This brand used to be one of the best brand back to 5-1/4" FDD era, I believe the quality should be good since CD is much easier to make in comparison to FDD. For those who said this product is not good, I think either your skill, burning CD software, or your CD drives have some problem.
