Customer Review: It works, but has an awful smell to it - had to return

This mug technically worked as advertised for me (NOTE: USB power is weak so it will not keep coffee as hot as when plugged into the car).
I would've kept it, but had to return the product due to a PUNGENT stink emitted by the spiral charging cord. This thing was off-gassing a chemical smell akin to a skunk. The worst part is, they pack the charging cord inside the mug, so the entire inside of the mug smells too. It permeates the taste of the coffee, effectively ruining it. It's like drinking skunk-spray. Since this probably comes from China, who knows what aromatic chemicals are actually behind 'the stink' as well.
I tried washing the mug (and even cord) several times, but to no avail - the stink is stuck. Too bad, because otherwise it's a sturdy product that I would've kept. This is the only reason it merits 2 stars.
