This is just a really quick review to reiterate what others have said. Ever since I switched to using these Verbatim DVD-R-DL, I have not had a single "coaster". They all work perfectly well with my Memorex external burner using Nero recode. I am a now a loyal user of these DVDs. They cost a little more; but if you put them in your amazon cart and check often, the price drops low every couple of months to about $1.25/disc ($25 for a pack of 20 blanks), which I think is a pretty good deal. A year ago they cost twice that, so I'm not complaining.Customer Review: Best DL-DVDRs Around

I've been buying the same Verbatim DVD+R DL discs for about 2 years and by far they are the best recordable media I've used. Suffice to say that I've made far fewer coasters with the Verbatim discs than any other disc brand I've tried.
I use the discs for a variety of functions; backing up home movies, for transferring data between work and home (my office does not allow jump drives) and the discs have alway been super reliable.
I'm using a Windows XP machine running NERO 7 burning on a TSST drive.

Absolutely no "Coasters", using for making Xbox 360 backups of my originals. Get these they are from singapore, the other ones for faster rate suck, their made in India. I thought these were lightscribe capable, but of course I bought these at like 4 AM and wasn't seeing things clearly. All in all great discs, don't use them for anything but game backups so if your into that sorta thing get these, GREAT deal, get the 50, I got the twenty but now regret it, next time I will be sure to get the 50 when I run out.Customer Review: Disappointing results - 33% coasters

I have not had great success using these. I am currently using a MacBook Pro, purchased new in March of 2008, with the SuperDrive and using Roxio Toast for DVD burning software.
I have had complete success with a couple of other brands of 4.7 GB DVD media with no coasters. These Verbatim DL discs have been very unreliable and have failed about a third of the time. At $3.00 a disc, that gets too expensive.
Like I said, I'm very disappointed in these results.
Customer Review: GREAT PERFORMANCE FOR LITE-ON BURNERS

I have an older Lite-On DVD burner, and it can be finicky about the media I use. I settled on Verbatim a long time ago, and all I can add is that staying within limits of speed on DL discs (2.4x, 6x) these work perfectly. I made a huge mistake buying 8x Verbatim DL, and my burner will not process them at any speed. Funny, the 8x DL work fine on my Sony Combo DVD/VHS writer at 1X, but only the 2.4X +R DL work with my PC Lite-On. Perfect burns every time, even at 6x - no coasters.
