ImgBurn + these dual layers = WIN
Ive noticed the only problem is my DVD burner sometimes will error out in the first minute of burn.
Instead of tossing the disc away I try again and unplug my power adapter on my laptop. I wait until it gets 3% in and then plug my laptop back in. I have a 2005 sony vaio sz
Maybe if your burning on a laptop and it errors in the first minute try running off of battery power. You don't have to burn at 2.4X
Ive burned at 2.0X 1X and up to 6X and backup XBOX 360 games have all ran as smooth as my Original ;)
Ive gone through 3 of these packs so about 60 discs and only 2 have been bad. So not to bad

Verbatim has been known for making the most reliable DVD DL's out there. Now there is some controversy with them because while other brands have remained consistent in quality (Sony, etc.) Verbatim has outsourced some of its production to India, where the quality is just nowhere near the level which was expected of it when it manufactured these disks exclusively in Singapore. The Singapore disks are still top-notch though, and they are precisely those that Amazon is offering here. You're better off buying Sony or TDK than going for those MII (Made in India) Verbatim disks, but at least these Verbatim disks are the same quality they've always been - far superior to anything else out there.Customer Review: The BEST dual layer DVD

I found I can use cheap single layer disks but not cheap dual layer. I tried cheap dual layer disks and got a lot of coasters.
After researching the subject, I found many recommendations for this brand so I tried them. (These are the ones made in Singapore, which is what was recommended. I haven't run across any Verbatim DLs that aren't made there.)
They always produce a good result and Amazon has the best price. (I found them in a brick-and-mortar store, but they were a pack of 15 for about the same price compared to the 20-pack I get here.)

I have tried about every disc (DVD+R,DL) available and every batch had bad discs, with some over half failed. With Verbatim every single disc worked perfectly. I had already found this to be true with regular, single layer discs. Out of approx 400 Verbatim discs, NOT ONE failed! The only problem is finding them. I used to find them in stores but now it's pretty much online only. Strangely I found them recently at the most unlikely place: Big Lots! I bought them out, about 400 discs and every one burned perfectly. Now it looks like it's online, but I'm more than willing to wait a few days for the only DVD disc worth buying.Customer Review: Verbatim only here

I have used almost every brand of disk out there and for the money I believe Verbatim is the best. It is the only brand I use for DVD+R disk and so when I wanted a Dual layer disk the answer was obvious. They use better dyes than the cheaper or big name brands and that means quality in the results. In using blank CD disk, it is not as important but with DVDs it is. I have used other brand DVDs and have had good results too but every so often a bad batch will come around. With Verbatim, I have always had great results, I always buy verbatim. Ordering from Amazon saves about 40% over retail as well with the dual layer.
