I'm really horrified by the quality of these DVD's. They quality use to be very excellent and I would recommend these DVD's to anyone, but now I would warn everyone to stay away from these DVD's. They quality has really diminished. These DVD's are only good for data and music, if anyone is planning on backing up their DVD movies then I would say go with Taiyo Yuden from newegg. These DVD's are terrible for movies so avoid them.Customer Review: very good DVDs

Those are very good and economic DVDs. I've bought two spindles of SONY before and the first spindle worked well. But none of the discs in the second spindle worked in my 8x DVD burner in Thinkpad T60. So I knew that SONY is not a real manufacturer of DVDs. After some research I decided to buy this one from Verbatim. It turns out no problem burning them. So I think Verbatim is a real manufacturer of DVDs. After wasting quite a few of these disks in my dvd recorder, I have come to the conclusion that I wasted my money on this brand. I have tried several other brands of DVD-R, and only this brand does not work. I have also tried DVD+R and DVD+RW disks of this brand, as well as other brands. All of them worked fine, EXCEPT the Verbatim. If they worked for you, then you were lucky. I will not buy this brand again.Customer Review: Best Brand for Compatibility

Of all the brands I've tried, Verbatim is the most compatible. As a Mac user, I've had to return hubs of TDKs and other brands because they just wouldn't burn consistently on a Mac Superdrive. I can burn a disk and hand it to a PC user with confidence that it will play on their computer as well. I've been counting on Verbatim for over 5 years now, thousands of successful burns with very, very few rejects.Customer Review: Good coasters, bad DVDs

Not much to say about these. There are 100 on the spindle, and I've tried burning about 20 of them, only two of which were successful. I'm going to donate the rest to a school, in hopes that they're compatible with the school's computers. I'll buy some other blank DVD media instead.
BTW, I bought a spindle of 100 CD-Rs from Verbatim at the same time, and I have had no problem with any of them.
