I've had at least 8 discs that were ruined, having 1 or none before with this brand...surprisingly an unacceptable rate. I hope it's just a fluke..or maybe because this is a DVD-R instead of the +R's that I usually buy.Customer Review: Reinforced spindle is a joke

I bought these DVDs on the high recommendations of the other reviews since I have had problems with others in the past. For the price, they work really well. However, I was very disappointed that when I opened the box, I found the spindle shattered as well as some of the DVDs scratched (and unusable) from the plastic shards inside. Maybe the spindle is stronger than some, but if you think that by buying these you will get it shipped to you in one piece, think again.Customer Review: Every disk bad

Nothing is wrong with my system, or my DVD player. I get 100% perfect copies when using memorex or one other brand I now forget, but with verbatim I get skipping disks EVERY SINGLE TIME. Not sure what could be different but it seems to be the fault of the disks.Customer Review: Excellent, as of yet.

I think I've burned ten up til now and I've had no trouble. I am burning at 8x, capable of 22x, just cause. The packaging could've had a little improvement, discs were kinda loose in the box, but quite happy. If I remember when all 100 are used I will update this and tell if any were bad.
Just an update: about 1/3 of the discs down and still not a problem.

IMHO Verbatim dvd's are some of the best on the market. I have yet to find a bad disk (knock on wood). I use these for secondary archiving of photograph.
Amazon's price is great. My only concern is how they are shipped. As other reviewers have noted, Amazon just tosses the spindle in to a box with no packing material and the box could easily hold three or four spindles.
