Customer Review: Don't Take The Bad Reviews Lightly!
Summary: 1 Stars

Like so many others I bought these despite recommendations not to do so. I read reviws, did my research, yet governed my opinion by the good reviews. They sound great. I liked the weight and fit. Not to bulky. The fabric cord did a good job not being tangled.

However..... and a big however!! I have been through two pair of these earbuds. Both pairs lasted between 2-3 months at best. I am a particularly cautious handler of my electronics. Despite the gentle care of these one earbud on each pair went bad. It was the left ear (without the mic) for both pair. Ridiculous! These were way to expensive to get that much use out of them. My 8 year old earbuds, which I buy the cheapest I can find, last longer and they are torchered! Being creative and handy, I dismantled both pairs of earbuds and re-soldered one right driver to the other headset. Worked fine! For a month.... Then another one went out, this time the right one with the mic. This wasn't even the one that I re-soldered.

Crap, that is how I would describe them. Ye' be warned! For sure. I have seen so many others give this complaint. There are plenty of other earbuds out there, stay away from these!

Customer Review: Good sound, terrible ipod compatibility
Summary: 1 Stars

I ordered these because I wanted a set of in-ear headphones that had an iPod compatible remote. There are plenty of other options out there if I didn't need the remote so that's the critical feature and it's a huge disappointment.

- It just plain doesn't work. Clicking or double clicking the button sometimes causes the volume to jump up/down, sometimes is causes the music to pause, but most of the time it just doesn't do anything.

- It's just a single button so even if it worked as designed, the functionality would be limited. I'd guess pause and maybe starting voice control but no volume control.

- The remote's ergonomics are horrible relative to the Apple. The remote is round and it's nowhere near as easy to just lay your finger on the button and press it. Seeing as the button doesn't work, I guess that's not nearly as bad as it seems.

The last issue is that knurling. It looks cool in the picture but after an hour of resting on your outer ear it's just annoying.

Sound quality-wise they sound pretty good relative to other in-ear buds I've had in the past but there's lot's of good sounding earbuds out there, skip this one.

Finally! The headphones with a CALL BUTTON, for which I have been patiently waiting. I own a pair of Shure E2 to which I will compare these bad*ss phones. As stated in another review, I must agree that the call button is somewhat small and hard to find in a hurry - but it is definitely there! Also, as all other reviews mention, these are very bass heavy to appeal to hip-hop culture I assume. I like all kinds of music and I find them to be better than the Shure E2s. I set my iPhone EQ setting to "treble booster" to balance out the treble and bass a bit and the sound is amazing. I have read reviews about the cord - I must say I like the rope-like texture, but wonder about the lifespan. These phones don't wrap around the ear like the Shure E2 (that area behind the ear came uncovered on the Shure E2s, the wire was exposed from use) so maybe they'll last longer...

The call button: Press once to pause, twice to advance tracks. Just like the iPhone headset. And, of course, press to answer/end calls.

When I called an astute friend, he was not able to detect that I was using a headset- but I wasn't anywhere windy or loud.. so I can't vouch for mic quality.

Customer Review: Great Customer Service (you're gonna need it)
Summary: 1 Stars

I don't normally write reviews, but I had to for these. They are rubbish. I paid $100 from the Apple store and they worked great (although not as great as my cheap sony earbuds, but unfortunately, they didn't fit the iPhone and the adapter made the phone a bit cumbersome in my pocket).

They worked for a few months and then I'd have to wiggle them to get them to work. I sent them back and V-Moda returned a new pair with a new jack molding. Great. They've solved the problem of the loose wire. Not so. The second set also failed about a week out of warranty. I emailed them and nobody ever got back to me. Urgh. So I did a search for the company's phone number and got someone straight away. He offered to change them, free of charge which was wonderful and so I can't fault the customer service. I'm now two months into the new set and they're starting to play up again, not sure if customer service will be quite so helpful this time.

I don't run with them, or play tug of war. I use them for half an hour a day when walking the dog. They should not be so crap, but they are.

Save your money and buy something else!

Customer Review: Nice, but serious quality control issues.
Summary: 2 Stars

I have been a Sure E2C customer for a couple of years now and switched over to these because of the iphone support. To be honest I prefer the design of these to the Sures, and the sound quality is basically on par. I'm not much of an audiophile to bass response, mid rage, etc don't mean a whole lot to me. I'm not as impressed with the noise reduction as with the Sure, but that's not my main gripe. I'm on the second pair of Vibe's in 3 months. The casing next to the jack of my first pair came off after a couple of weeks, then the right channel stopped working a couple of weeks after that. I liked the headphone so I opted to get a second pair instead of getting my money back. Now after 3 weeks of use, then left channel has begun to fail. Its aggravating. For as much as they charge, you would think they would put a little more effort into quality control. At this point I can't get my money back, so I just have to send them in again and hope the first two were a fluke. Though, from some of the other reviews I've read on here I doubt that.

I really like them when they're working. I just wised they worked longer.
