Customer Review: This one FINALLY got it right!.
Summary: 5 Stars

After purchasing several unsatisfactory brand-name cordless phone sets, this one FINALLY got it right. Sound is clear outgoing, incoming, on speaker, AND on message playback (it also has a hearing-aide compatible mode which we have not tried). All handsets are updated automatically without the need to enter phonebook numbers (or date and time) separately. Each handset is capable of retrieving messages, interrupiting incoming screened calls, and storing (or deleting) caller IDs. Every handset has a speaker phone mode, a belt clip, and the option of it's own ringtone. Very convenient. Handsets can be put into baby monitor mode. The system is expandable. Answering machine flashes an amber antennae light on each set until the message is played back, and playback does not remove the number notation that there is a message on the phone (like our last set did!)

Customer Review: Great phones for a great price
Summary: 5 Stars

These phones did everything they set out to do, and they can take a beating. Never had a problem with reception, even outside, where you're pretty far from the base. The speaker function is great. The only thing I would have liked is if the intercom feature allowed you to speak directly to the other room, rather than making the phone ring in that room, and forcing someone to actually pick up. But this is a fairly minor point, and just a personal preference.

As far as taking a beating, my 1 year old has taken care of testing it in this department, and so far so good. Handsets have been dropped, thrown, and scrapped in the ground, without any negative effects on performance.

For the price, you really can't beat it. It's my first Uniden, but I can tell you it's far better than my previous Sony and Vtech phones.

Customer Review: Great phone system, but one occasional problem
Summary: 4 Stars

We really love this phone system as it doesn't conflict with our wireless internet service. Reception is great, no static, range is great. I've taken one of the handhelds outside, across the street, and into the neighbor's basement without any problems. However, what perplexes me is,.. after that great performance, how can I pick up the handset from the main base (and from the main base where it has been charging for two days), dial a local number, get a ring or two on the other end, then get static and a message on the handset that the handset is too far from the base when I'm no more than 18 inches from the main I'm taking a star away for that. Oh, and it has happened a couple of times, so it is not a once in a lifetime occurance.

Customer Review: works great
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this phone from seller abcliquidators1 on ebay. I got it refurbished, and it cost me fifty. Great deal. The base plus all 3 phones work and look great. The display is big and bright; the displays and buttons light-up when you press a button or if the phone rings. It has really nice features. The sound quality (hearing and speaking) is excellent. The speakerphone (and intercom) feature on all phones and the base is really nice. I bought the phone because of all the good reviews on amazon. I also got a 2-year extended warranty from squaretrade for seven. The phone does NOT interfere with my wireless devices. Although I'm sure I could find some petty faults about the phone, I have no legitimate complaints. I would purchase this item again.

Customer Review: Horrible unit
Summary: 1 Stars

I paid $130.00 for this unit and 30.00 for an extra handset. I have used them since November and all I can say is they have the worst range I have ever seen on a cordless phone. Even worst than the original cordless units that came out years ago. I consistently get readings saying I am out of range even when I am standing next to another charging unit and phone. The static is unbearable to the point it sounds like I am on a cell phone and I have to apologize to the people I am speaking to because they only hear every other word. The unit's features are minimal and the ringer choices are annoying. I paid to much for the unit and only purchase it because of the reviews. So either mine is a dud or someone has been feeding their reviews for the product.
