This is a great wireless phone by Uniden. I bought it for my grandma whom at age 85 has difficulties to follow a conversation over the phone, or even notice when the phone is ringing.
The phone's design is great, it may not be pretty but it is very well thought with function in mind, it rings very loud, it has big easy to read buttons, and the audio quality is superb, definitely a recommendation for anyone looking for a simple to use phone to give to parents or relatives who have difficulties to hear.

This is my second Uniden phone. I bought the first one because it offers larger buttons and easy to control volumn and ringer. Range may not be as good as the newer phones but if you can't see the buttons to dial or your fingers keep hitting the wrong buttons because they are too small, then what good does it do to have hundreds of feet of coverage. I hightly recommend this phone for those of you needing a phone that you can operate without a magnify glass. I couldn't find another of this type on the market.Customer Review: Clear sound, but background conversations make this phone unusable

I got this phone for my hard-of-hearing dad. At first, he loved the phone, saying that the sound was so much clearer than with his old phone that he didn't even need to use the audio boost. But after a couple of weeks of use, he now wants to return it. He hears other conversations in the background, and has verified that it's only on this new phone by picking up one of the old phones in another room. This is so disappointing.... has anyone found a workaround for this interference?Customer Review: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!!!!!!

This phone is GREAT! It has all the bells and whistles that those of us that are getting a little long in the tooth could want or need. The larger buttons on the keypad are escecially nice for my husband who has larger fingers and had a hard time dialing the compact cordless phone we had. The hearing/visual aids can be adjusted up or down to your liking or needs which is nice. All in all just a TERRIFIC phone and the price here at Amazon.com could not be beat anyplace else!Customer Review: Too much static

We bought these for my mom thinking they would be an easy way for her to hear/see that the phone was ringing and easy buttons for dialing. They have been a nightmare. The phones have so much static on the line sometimes, it's impossible for her to hear and to be heard. She has tried and tried to change the channel for better reception with no luck. A little over a year after buying them, we'll be dumping these and buying her the phones we have in our home.
