I own a dog daycare center and we had a difficult time hearing on a 'regular' phone. I purchased this phone in hopes that the amplification would help, it didn't. Basically the phone completely amplifies all the background noise and it made hearing the person on the other end impossible. I guess it would be good if you are just using them in your home or a quiet environment, but NOT in a place with any background noise.Customer Review: large faced phone

I purchased this item for a replacement for my 85 year old mother. Being sight and hearing impaired, this phone has great features with few extras that only confuse the elderly. Easy set up and programming made this item a hit with her, now she can visibly see when a call is coming in and the hearing boost makes it easier for her to hear whle using. We're very pleased with the ability to enhance the hearing of the caller on the phone since my husband and I are both hearing impaired. We love the appearance of the phone also. The only exception that we take is we feel the ringer on the phone could be a little louder. All in all, we are very pleased with the phone. To the point. The phone was purchased as a gift for an elderly woman with both hearing and sight problems. The phone worked great and as well or better than more expensive phones that we tried. It is easy to use--has large numbers, a flashing light when ringing and great adjustable volume for both the ring and earphone. I would recommend this phone to anyone who has sight or hearing difficulties.Customer Review: Does the job very well!

I'm not hard of hearing, just needed a new cordless phone, and this works just so well! I have a lot of interference on my other phones from a powerful radio station, but this phone blocks it all. I love the ease of setting up phone numbers in memory, and all its bells and whistles. Very pleased, but I only wish I could buy an additional set for upstairs but I can't see that any are available.
