Scanner works just as advertised. It is small enough to carry around, but still have all the features of larger scanners. Do yourself a favor though and get a magnet mount or other style antenna for your vehicle for the best reception. The manual that comes with this is far too difficult for the average person to understand. Even though I have a master's degree in English, I still can't figure out how to use this product. I've had this scanner for a few weeks now and it works fine. I had a scanner previously so I had little trouble entering frequencies and otherwise getting it to work. It's small, but the sound is very good and it picks up signals well, in this mountainous area.Customer Review: Works Great

I bought this item for my mother inlaw and I was the hit for christmas! She loves it and uses it everyday. This is a great present for a disabled and homebound person she feels like she is still in contact with the world.
