I've got two complaints about this timer. One is that it is way too hard to program. The instructions are not well written. Second is that the plastic cover quickly broke at one of the hinge points. It is still on, but when you open it, it comes loose of the timer. It should be beefier. I saw other complaints about the difficulty of setting it up, and figured I was smarter than those folks. Turns out I'm not. I'm getting another one today.

With the random function on short your lights will turn on and off between 1-2 hours, long 2-4, or program your own random time in a specific 1-2 hour range.
