Customer Review: Note: not alkaline, good for low power drain devices

Note that these are zinc carbon batteries not alkaline. These work fine in low current devices like remote controls but for cameras, portable electronics, RC cars, etc. you're better off with alkaline. Wikipedia says "Zinc-carbon batteries are the least expensive primary batteries and thus a popular choice by manufacturers when devices are sold with batteries included. They can be used in remote controls, flashlights, toys, or transistor radios, where the power drain is not too heavy."
